Let’s not go too crazy - that was a crap Sunderland side we were up against and we won’t have a game as easy as that all season (lets be honest every fan of every team would be irate with their defenders letting Gabbiadini turn them in the box that easily - or Long and JWP getting as much space as they did for the fourth).
However, you can only beat what’s in front of you and there were some great performances out there today - Tadic, Gabba linked up well - Romeu held it together and Bertrand created two goals and let nothing past him in defence. Really, really good stuff.
Before today I didn’t think we’d be relegated but I didn’t think we could rule it out completely - so the result alone is important too. Good day all round but I wouldn’t go too overboard. Most football fans go way overboard after either a win or a defeat but that’s certainly a step in the right direction.
