Jesus, that’s not Demi Moore, is it???

In the second picture she’s suckin’ on a toffee.

… Duncan Ferguson.

Watched this last night. I enjoyed it, the bird a bit less so, she got slightly freaked by the spider scene. Then when his finger got lopped off and stitched back on and they ended up in bed, I made a basic assumption about where the situation was heading, which sadly failed to transpire. The scriptwriters missed a trick there imho.

I loved all the Chandler references, (huge fan,) and thought they could have also used the High Window heading when the transformer-type character fell out of one.

Overall, I’d say 7/10. Enjoyable watch.

Only 1 episode in but so far so good. Seems to be more non kitsch Hammer Horror/suspense than modern slasher stuff while fitting into a detective show/Stranger Things vibe, and I guess a bit of developing capeshit along the way.

Episodic stories but I suspect “A darkness has fallen over London” will theme through it.

Enjoyed 1st ep.

It’s peak Michelle Monaghan.

She’s 34. At 35 she was finished. It’s over baby!

We can be cool with MCU having a multiverse.
Sherlock has been much loved on tv in different times/imaginings.
So my updated review of Irregulars is that it is a multiversed Sherlock dropped into a Supernatural “best of” Dr Who problem solving suspense thrillers.
As entertainment it works the most weird is Sherlock with a “Man-Bun”.
It is not deep, the who done its are Agatha Christie meets Edgar Allen Poe & solved in about 30 minutes around the central story & character development. That makes it more “Ripping Yarns” than cerebral but keeps it well paced
You’ll recognise all the regulars, Watson, Mycroft, Mrs Hudson, LeStrade even though they are “different”.
Bingeworthy fun with even a clear anti-Tory joke told.

Worth watching

I watched the first episode yesterday and was struggling with the terrible acting.

Just watched the first episode of “Invincible”, the animated show by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. It’s really not for kids. I was enjoying the episode a lot overall until the end, when it sort of blew me away and I enjoyed it a lot more.

Just to add to the above, I’ve done the three episodes that are available for Invincible. It’s excellent and reminded me a lot of Harley Quinn.

What I really like about this is that the episodes are about 45 minutes long, parity with the standard non-animated show length. As a result, it breathes a lot better than most animated series (normally around 20 minutes).

It does everything it sets out to do right, whether that is action, humour, or shock and awe. It is a lot faster paced than Kirkman’s other show The Walking Dead.

I’ve mentioned Life in Pieces - seriously worth a watch.

Just done Ep.8 of S1 - “Mexican, Godparent, Maize, Farts”.

I didn’t realise ‘muricans could do fart based comedy so well.

Every day is a school day.

Highly recommended :+1:

“A zombie tiger”
“That’s crossing the line”

Interesting.
Debris

Imagine Fringe meets X-Files without the high quality sound, cinematography and acting.

Hulu NBC & Dodgy sites atm

Episode 1 is a mix of Fringe & X Files.
Hubble Telescope spots an Alien space ship.
It is broken. Debris falls to earth. Shit happens.
CIA & MI6 team up with loads of support teams following up gathering tech that causes weird shit to happen

It doesn’t have the acting or rapport of the two great shows, but content is good and it is a Defiance/Eureka level US TV Show with backstory & conflict.

Receives an it is encouraging rating

Anyone else watching Invincible on Amazon Prime?

Loving it.

I look forward to it as much, if not more, than Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which is also excellent.

It’s bloody nice to have both. Loved this episode of Invincible, and tbf, all of them have been interesting despite relying somewhat on freaks of the week. But what freaks! And the why-dunnit burning slowly in the background also engages.

I am finding his name more and more ironic…

3 episodes in to Debris. The weird shit is creatively weird the “drama & conspiracies” are annoyingly cliched but on balance was good.
I say that because I know how pissed off I was to find my provider hadnt downloaded episodes 4 & 5 :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Yeah, asking for trouble that.

For similar reasons, I never mark any code as “final”.
