:pl: :saintsfc: Southampton v Sheffield Utd :sheffieldunitedfc: (live on :sky_logo: sports)

Souness being his usual miserable Cuntish self… such an expression of utter misery… and not really anything positive to say about us… he looks fucking constipated, or like someone was a bit tough with his ring piece last night…

I think if i was in the media team at saints I would put ‘suggested talking points for Southampton’ so those on TV have something to talk about. They certainly dont have any insight into the club apart from Ings, Ralf and our defeat over a year ago.

Its a cycle of incompetence. They dont know anything about us so they are reluctant to talk about us

Doesn’t bother me. Quite happy to slip under the radar.

Very happy with the 3-0. About the only one I got right so far. Very comfortable win. Danny not at the races today. Vest my MotM for the second week running. A worthy 3rd place at the moment. Long may it continue. So good to see some strength coming off the bench. Time to sell Long perhaps?

Scary to think what could have been the score if Danny was match sharp

That laughing emoji is a bit naughty, but very funny. He did have a very relaxed 90 minutes though, don’t think he had a save to make.

Armstrong is one of three players to have scored four or more Premier League goals from outside the box in 2020. The other two are Southampton players - Ings with five and Ward-Prowse with four.

From Sky. SU had an all-time PL record low number of attempted passes in a first half. And overall we had 80% possession. That’s one if the most impressive things: when we lose the ball, more often than not we get it straight back. An important part of Ralph’s playbook - the transition immediately after losing the ball.

You’d have to be very careful breaking the news to him we’re Premier League Champions for two consecutive seasons.

Good goal from Redmond today. Amazing what competition for places can do.

It’s nice to get praise but not sure I like this constant bleating on about Best of the rest… as if the top six never change… Sky have a vested interest in the ‘top six’ staying as it is as those clubs have a lot of non local armchair fans wh pay the subs as well as abroad… so they big those clubs up even when they are low in the table… we are third and what happened last season or the 20 before it should be irrelevevat to that - I suspect Arsenal would take being the best of the rest now!

My take on the game was we weren’t under much pressure and that was because they’re crap but we didn’t give them the opportunity, up front we’re a pleasure to watch, clever play and working together to find gaps and holes is a joy to watch.
Armstrong and Adams for me are so important to our progression, such intelligent play and passes, we’re a real football team in the top half, talking of top half if we finish in the top 10 it’ll be a very good season, the usual top 6 will be that way along with Leicester and Everton, regardless though we look like a team.
