This one made me chuckle

DCL reverted to his usual, James Rodriguez was piss-poor and together with Godfrey proved ineffective. If
things don’t get better soon I can see us going to Soton…for their manager.
If there was ever a post that deserved a ban it is this one.

Best game of the day is 2nd on MOTD2

Clearly a 0:1 win for Leicester against Arse is better to show first

Mind you the excuses for Everton from the pundits were funny, but am I seeing them slowly starting to realise Saints have the capability to do well this campaign?

Seems the other part of dipperland enjoyed that game as much as we did.

Some stats from another article

Shortest unbeaten start to season since 1967-68 - the stats

  • Everton’s defeat means this is the first English top-flight campaign since 1967-68 in which no sides are unbeaten through the first six matches.
  • Southampton have beaten the team starting the day top of the Premier League for the first time in 12 matches, since a 1-0 victory at Anfield against Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool in September 2013.
  • Everton have conceded at least twice in four of their past five Premier League games, and have done so in three straight league matches for the first time since December 2019.
  • Southampton have won 10 points from their six Premier League games this season - their best return at this stage since 2014-15 under Ronald Koeman.
  • James Ward-Prowse has scored 13 Premier League goals under his current manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, in 64 games - three more than he managed in 173 appearances for seven different managers for Southampton.
  • Everton have received straight red cards in back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since December 2002.
  • After failing to score in any of his first 24 Premier League appearances, Che Adams has now netted six times in his past 12 matches for Southampton in the competition.

plus the november fixture list looks good for us potentially. All winnable

I’d be happy with 7 points from November :lou_smiley:

Adams and Ings now starting to work together properly. Big Jannick is a revelation since he came back in and Romeu was proper good at breaking up play. Terrific performance.

A lot of the media this morning are speculating and suggesting which ‘big club’ will come in and tempt Ralph away from ‘small club’ Southampton. Man U, City, Chelsea all mentioned, almost as if it’s a foregone conclusion. They just can’t help themselves can they. Cunts!

Little clubs like ours aren’t allowed nice things, remember.

Let’s hope he stays and makes us a “big” club and says fuck off to the others.

They’re all below us. Why take a step down?

…also,it’s worth him considering just how many of the big clubs would have kept him on for more than a couple of hours after a 9-0 mauling at home.

Ralph and Martin Semmens met for ages after the game. It was rumoured that Ralph offered to go to, but I’m not sure that’s true. In any case, the result forced Ralph to get back to the principles of how he wanted to play: dropping three at the back and doing what he believed in. In the end, as JWP said in his interview, it turned out to be the catalyst for getting us on the right track.
