Yeah I have 3 of their albums. Mixed bag some of them but some great tracks.
I thought this had been directed by Vaughan Oliver, but turns out its Chris Bigg who I think also worked at v23
I still fuck up, posting links
Why Ted? Why?
All you do is literally cut and paste the fucker in.
done. you just had it copied in twice. I think.
Double connection, both the title and both songs were produced by Steve Albini. Rid of Me is his masterpiece, discuss
Like for the song/PJ, not Albini - fuck that (albeit talented) piece of shit.
Steve Albini is a great producer of metal music. This is not PJ Harveyās finest hour to be honest. Sheās been around for over 20 years and fashions come and go.
Iām not sure Iād call most of what heās produced metal. I wasnāt really talking about the quality of the music on Rid of Me, more the production, the sense of space and clarity of the instruments blows me away. More than anything he knows how to engineer and place micās to get particular effects. Nirvanaās In Utero is another example of taking a band that donāt sound particularly special (sonically, not talking about the music itself) to a totally other level.
One of the most thrilling things on the internet is monitoring the Musical Chain thread, seeing that two people are replying, and waiting to see whoās going to get gazumped.
Fair play mate, thatās the thing about music is itās subjective. Thanks for the explanation. I always thought of Albini as a rock producer.
