I’ll join you on the chain-breaking. When this LP came out I didn’t like it, or ABC, at all. I put them in the same bin as the Expanding Wallet, who I still can’t stand; it was only much later that I realised just how brilliant The Lexicon of Love really is. In its wit and originality it’s right up there with Roxy Music’s first two LPs, and that’s saying something.

…and arrangement, orchestration and general pop addictiveness. Was so fresh and interesting (to these young ears) and still grabs my attention.
