This brings back memories. I first saw these in 1967 when I went to see PP Arnold, they were her backing band, but they did a 30 minute set before she came on. Keith Emerson just blew me away, I had never seen anything like it before.

I remember seeing them at The Beehive in Bournemouth, this was about late '68…they were now a big draw hense the ticket price of 17s 6d (75p). Crazy money we thought…where is it all going to end.

These were a great band, I saw them at CBGBs in New York in 1979 on a bill with Talking Heads and Jonathan Richmond and The Modern Lovers, the Dictators blew both of them off the stage and I say that as a huge Talking Heads fan. This demo version is actually better than the official one IMO.
