Now, my best mate, a very innocent and shy lad (from a teachers point of view) who used to sit next to me thought it would be funny to play a joke. One day, when I had been sent out of the classroom, he wrote at the bottom of my homework in my book ‘Miss Skinner is rubbish. From Simon’. The handwriting was completely different. It was obvious to everyone and their dog that I didn’t write it. However, the following week I got a detention for it, with my teacher thinking I wrote it (it wasn’t my style of terrorising her, that’s for sure).
And that is how this disagreement now feels to me.

23 years ago I learnt that like it or not WW3 had been underway for a very long time.
Not us v Islam, simply the planet v Interpreters of Religion. I often made a point about how Extremist Hate preachers were expelled from Iran, Yemen, Saudi, Egypt, Jordan and yet the West gave them sanctuary (and an audience) in their mistaken application of Political Correctness, but that is a different debate.
Where we are is that there have always been people who enforce THEIR view of how Society should live, they hide in many guises and have many levels of “extremism” On one side there was Marx & Mao who expoused ideas then brutally enforced them, then came those who interpreted that, Red Army Faction, Baader Meinhoff et al. Obviously also in that Interpretation of ideas came Hitler.
The West could understand this, these were Political concepts, Left and Right. Good or Bad. In WW2 it mattered not whether you were a Left leaning voter, if you were in a German Uniform you were the evil enemy.
So today we have nothing different, simply that the extremism has hidden itself within the cloak of the interpretation of Religious teachings. PC attitudes have made it very difficult and slow for the West to truly grasp and understand the issues. Simpletons like Trump go back to WW2 attitudes and tar everyone with the same brush.
The UAE sentenced an Emirati teenager to Death yesterday for joining ISIS and those who helped him to lengthy jail terms. Not sure America has done that to any of its citizens Donald…
Anyway, these are not MY views below, but they are a clear example of how bloggers are beginning to react and how they will start to sway opinion. Some of what he posts has basis in fact but he makes IMHO incorrect assumptions.

As you all know from TV, Syria is a basket case of seething Islamic Terror Squads. Which is interesting seeing as “Damascus Saint” has been there for the past 2 weeks, went to celebrate the Coptic Christmas, went to Church, has been out and about pubbing & clubbing and posting the pictures on FB…
Now I know that can offend the PC brigade who should be horrified that the nation is not cowering in tunnels or feeling ashamed, more the point that there are significant parts of the country where normal life and economic activity continue, which ensures that there is a secure base for Aid agencies to work from (Le Meridien & Four Seasons Hotels for eg) and that those villages that are not surrounded by warring factions can SELL their produce to buy the food and seeds they need for next years crops and that some factories are still running so taxes get paid to keep some of the schools and colleges running.
Again where have I said anything that sounds racist?
