Very sorry to hear that sir

Iām not riding on anyoneās coat tails - if you read back through the thread it appeared to be perfectly obvious to several other posters. including CF, what point I was making. I wasnāt calling you out exclusively. Nobody else reacted in the same way as you (see Chertsā Brasseye reference for proof positive of that).
Youāve already shown yourself up more than once on this thread. You should probably quit while youāre behind.
I said:
āSeriously sick shit. The lengths some of these creeps go to is fucking insane. I mean, surely it isnāt a case of pedophiles just happening to be keen on football coaching and taking their grisly chance when it comes - these sickos must have obviously pursued the career in order to gain access to kids. I know that sounds like a stupidly obvious point but the calculating nature of it really creeps me outā
And you said:
āāSickosā, āscumbagsā and āmega-pedoā. Itās like a Daily Express editorial meeting in here. Just need ātwistedā for the full house.ā
I donāt know, if I wanted to make a point about the tone of discussion being counterproductive, particularly on a topic as sensitive and naturally emotive as paedophilia, Iād make pretty damn sure I took the time to express myself as clearly and unambiguously as possible.
I donāt know. Maybe you do indeed find paedophilia mildly irksome, but your initial reaction, and your apparent prioritisation of the words used to describe paedophiles, rather than, yāknow, actual paedophilia, was quite something.
Right. Back on track.
Unbelievably this guy wasnāt checked later when he went to work at another football team.
Could be an example you mentioned where people with no convictions falling through the gaps, from the looks of that article he was cleared of previous allegations in 1992, and it would seem that not working directly with kids meant no CRB/DBS checks.
I will also add that despite very suspicious circumstances this man has been found guilty of nothing yet, and that hopefully a full investigation will get to the truth and an appropriate outcome.
On a sidenote do we need a question mark on the title thread?
Coming to this a bit late been moving so interweb & time troubles.
Genuine question.
Have other EU Nations found such nests" of abuse in the way the UK has? Politicos, Saville, football?
Going back to that Era UK was such a repressed nation - Mary Whitehouse et al. Did that help keep things ābehind closed doorsā nudge nudge style?
Obviously safeguards are supposed to be in place now, but are they? The Asians grooming young girls in Rotherham.
Is it actually better now? Do the safeguards work? Do Brits now get their kicks from Internet porn or is that all just gone Dark Web.
Interested to know your thoughts gang.
even le tiss is saying he got a dubious massage
I donāt know where to start with this horrendous episode but fair play Pap, for your honesty on here.
It would seem a few clubs(at least) have been involved in covering this up.
I would hope that any club found guilty of covering this up, faces serious consequences, including our own.
Last year Chelsea were still attempting to pay for silence about child abuse. Thatās fucking sick.
I worry that the recent actions of Chelsea hint that there is a lot more to come out.
Donāt think so.
I canāt shake the image of pap hanging from a coat hook. Itās prob one of those things that are only funny in the abstract tho, itās not until you see the grim reality of it, that you realise the full horror. Like Brexit.
When I read this, was I the only one thinking, that it was Bob Higgins that was naked when giving the massage⦠now that would have sent alarm bells off even as a teenager!
Slightly off topic i know, but this morning we have reports that hundreds of police officers have been accused of sexual abuse. No wonder they were reluctant to pursue the complaints against Saville and various bigwigs in Westminster and beyond! What the fuck is wrong with this country!
In all aspects of life, power has a corrupting influence, for some itās financial, for some sexual, for some control, for some statusā¦in all cases those without power or influence are those that are exploited. Everyone has seen it in one form or anotherā¦working in an office for 40 years, Iāve seen it all to some degree. Itās appallingā¦but itās sadly not surprising.
Dear God!
This does not get any better, unsurprisingly
nope - at least the club are facing up to it and without too much obvious wriggling
Indeed. I meant the (confirmation) of our past inaction
