Saints vs Fonte - 4th Feb

Well a lot of the fans seem to be voting with their feet and leaving early…can’t blame them on this performance.

Fucking sake, shoot straight at the keeper why not!

I am worried for our boss. We lose to Sunderland and the Cup Final, I think he will be gone. I’m not saying this would be right, but it is a harsh world this football game!

What has always concerned me with the model we have adopted is that at some point you are going to get it wrong. Because football is not a science. There has almost been an air of arrogance with it all. We may have got it wrong this time and got some terrible luck with injuries at the same time. Making it all the more dangerous.

I bleated on about the importance of the January window but had faith that the club would see it too, given how fucking obvious it was. They always asked to be judged at the end of the window so I gave them that and was through the floor when that centre half failed to arrive. I couldn’t believe it.

I mentioned above about arrogance and what I meant by that is this… if Jack Schitt’s info was accurate and our number one target’s (Schar I believe he said) valuation went up by £5million… so what? Suck it up, we were and are desperate. Bearing in mind we have a habit of eventually selling these players for significant profit, that extra £5m will be forgotten about eventually.

For that reason alone the fact that we failed to sign ANYONE in that position is quite simply unforgivable.

TBH, despite the scoreline, I don’t think we’ve played too badly today.

I find it hard to believe Davies shooting. Its just too bad to be a proffesional footballer. He must be different in training. He does make up for it with his other play but its a fairly fundemental skill

One bright point in the whole game has been Gabbiadini, looks a good signing.

Gabbadabadoo looks like a good buy. Needs better service, but there’s some quality there…he looks a bit like he’s stoned though

I blame CB Saint

Gabbiadini looked lively.

Agreed. If ever you wanted to describe us unlucky, today would be the day. Deflected free kick. Fraser nutmegged. Their keeper was on form too.

Should have challenged him more. Agree that the defensive situation is unforgivable, as is our three steps forward, ten steps back approach.

Yep

Still waiting for forster to hit a 20+ yard pass to a team mate.

Cedric was awful today.

Cheer up bazza. Relegation scrap just like the olden days!

Things are bad enough without having to read your constant shit rants. You have been asked to give it a rest. Shut the fuck up for a bit please.

I dont think this bad run of form is just about missing chances in front of goal because we have been used to that over the past 30 years. What is upsetting is its beggining to look like we have missed a big chance to progress as a club. We are firmly back in the group of clubs scrapping around for players and league positions. Unlike at the begining of the season and the end of last season were beggining to become a force.

A win in the EFL cup would change that but not if we end up like Wigan
