I’d like to see the deflection again, so that I can exonerate Forster.
Can’t really single anyone out as underperforming in that half because we’ve been pretty poor as a team. Jay and Gabbi up front with Boufal in behind please Claude! May consider sticking Clasie on for Davis as well, we’ve been second to the ball in midfield a lot and he gets stuck in.

The second goal reminds me of Snodgress Hull goal. combination of not closing down and the Forster not quick enough. The first goal for them was simply down to mistakes by both CBs. Yoshide left it (not sure why) and Stephens let Carrol go.
Our goal was fantastic. We seems to have turned into a counter attack team .When we started the season proffessing possession possession.

A big part of our change in approach is that when we lost Austin, we lost the ability to hold the ball up in the final third. Boufal, Tadic etc can do that but they rarely play through the middle. Our strength is down the flanks so we have to play to that, I would be happy to see us play the counter more often but we do also need to be able to control a game high up the pitch if need be too. When Chas is back, that’ll be a big boost to our flexibility as a team.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. The fact you have, as you yourself haven’t said, been calling for Puel’s head from day one and before a ball was kicked is why people slag you off.

Another deflection, Forster had NO CHANCE, but he really didn’t react until the ball had hit the back of the net.
Was he planning on catching it directly before Davis took it out of his hands?
He seemed particularly immobile.
