Jesus, you’re on a roll!

Well he did score for City…

He gave them a penalty which is the next best thing.

_ Why? _

Do you think Jose might catch a convenient game-dodging migraine off Diane Abbott?

This is like reading the Beano…

Can we do multi-coloured italics as well for people who don’t find this thread vulgar enough on the eyes yet?

The old man has grabbed two tickets off the exchange and is dragging me along tomorrow. I’m feeling slightly anxious. The thought of that talentless, yet annoyingly effective lump Andy Carroll well and truly fucking up Yoshida and Stephens is worrying to say the least. Snodgrass’s delivery is also an annoyingly simple threat that will again, probably be effective.

On the plus side, Boufal up against whoever they have in defence should race through them easily enough.

Anyway, having been at the reverse fixture where we won 3-0, I’d say the gameplan should essentially be to simply try and replicate it. Pass, pass and pass again. Don’t fuss too much about gritting your teeth and getting into a physical battle, just knock it round them. City have laid down the blueprint on how to absolutely violate this West Ham team and proven that if you’re good/skillful enough, you can’t get bullied. Case in point being the likes of Sterling and Jesus effortlessly dancing round them the other night despite their absurdly futile attempts to rough them up.

Still, I am slightly anxious. Lose this one and we’re seriously running out of easy games. 6 of our remaining 14 would be against ‘big 6’ teams which would leave us needing 13 points (to be sure) from the other 8. Obviously the ‘r’ word is still very unlikely but I’d really rather like to have the luxury of being totally unconcerned.

Oh well. I said I’d make my mind up about Puel/make my mind up about whether to mash the panic button after Leicester/Swansea/West Ham/Sunderland so I suppose we’ll just have to see.

Take the 2 home matches out between Christmas and New Year and we are pretty handy at home. I do not expect us to lose today, but saying 2-0 like I have might not be right either. We are both off the back of defeats and gave to get back to winning ways. They will not forget about being turned over by us at their place, but I feel we have just about enough to beat this lot and if we are on our game easily beat them.

It does feel a little bit like Trampolines last part of what he wrote '“so I suppose we’re just have to see”.

It could be interesting tactically.

They must want to get crosses in to pressure our centre backs against Carroll.

So they have to push the full-backs forward thus leaving HUGE fucking space for us to get up their wings and expose their dodgy centre backs…

ive got a strange feeling we will put away chances today. I agree with the pass pass pass philosophy for this game. going for 3 -1 to the Saints

I’ve got a strange feeling too…might be the indian takeaway last night tbf.

I’ll go with your 3:1 though NYS.

Fonte to give away a penalty with his over-the-top wrestling at corners - which up until last week was just fair contact…

Shane. Hey Jose, good to see you mate, how’s it going?

Jose. _ Yeah, it’s all good._

Shane. So how are you settling in?

Jose. Brilliant, it’s great, a big club, good set-up, the lads are excellent.

Shane. Cool.

Jose. Yeah.

Shane. So what have you been up to?

Jose. Well training has been good, quite refreshing, proper drills and stuff, the sort of things we did when I won the European Championship - the owners seem really nice, and the stadium is something else.

Shane. Nice…do you get many people still there at the final whistle?

Jose. It’s packed, like a proper stadium, great fans, s_ell-outs I think, just like when I won the European Championship._

Shane. That’s good.…d_id you see that we got to Wembley?_

Jose. Yeah, I did see something about that - I was pleased for you.

Shane . It was amazing, last minute, you should have been there, Adam, Lovren, they were pig sick to miss out!

Jose. I can imagine…

Shane. Have you played yet?

Jose. Since I won the European Championship?

Shane . No, at West Ham.

Jose. Oh, yeah, I had a bit of a game the other night, it was okay, we did alright…

Shane. How did you get on?

Jose. Mmmmm, I think we lost in the end, but it was a good workout, it reminded me a bit of when I won the European Championship.

Shane. Cool, well I’ll see you out there.

Jose. Yeah, looking forward to it.

Shane. Not as much as we are.
