No bother.
Lemina looks promising.
Please play him, romeu and boufal. Tadic ordinary at best again today. Poor game from Redmond.
Yoshida my motm.
Was Good fun next to the away fans.
Just a tip for the old bill: lairy atmosphere and a late winner, it might be a good idea to have a few officers outside the car park where the fans meet. None in sight. Fortunately the fight was over after one cracking right hook and a few concerned fans intervening.
4 points from the opening 2 games.
Happy days.
Was that the same Charlie Austin that the dirty mag salesmen described as a waste of money because his knees were shot?
They look a right pair of twats.
Again.
Its not often we have 12 men on the pitch.
Thought they were both penalties and sending off was right.
Thought the ref could have let more go though. He blew for absolutely everything.
The opposite to last week then.
Redmond and Bertrand had a quiet game for them. Its much quicker when they are both on song
Still going hic
Thought Bilic set them up to counter Redmond & Tadicffs really well.
Also thought MP left his subs very late
Lemons was off the pace but showed promise.
JWP game changer just such quality delivery.
2 stone wall penalties. Both given. I’m Pissed & broke
We didn’t have twelve men on the pitch, but they could easily have had eight.
Goalscoring opportunities denied twice by pushes? - both red card offences.
The ref took pity on them, and so did we for 90 minutes.
Three points, learn the lessons, do it better next time.
Yay Eric saw us score & win. Don’t come home!
Looks like you enjoyed yourself
Redmond is the most frustrating of players. Capable of splitting open a defence with a perfectly weighted pass for Gabbi to slot the first goal followed by the inability to find his own man from 10 yards…repeatedly. His second half performance was woeful but even then could have scored with a scorching drive that clipped a defender and diverted onto the bar.
WH were up for it from the start of the second half while we continued to play a slow and predictable, out wide to the flanks playing one-twos to creating space for over-hit crosses. Again we were out-muscled in midfield.
Gabbi was playing on the shoulder of the last defender waiting for a repeat ball from Redmond or whoever was looking for him. More often than not most of the midfield weren’t looking for him. We need to mix up our game more…we’re too predictable. In the end Gabbi was dropping deep to time his runs into the box but still the balls didn’t come. His movement is impressive, a perfect example for youngsters to watch, unfortunately at the moment we don’t seem to have an intelligent mid-fielder on the same wavelength.
Today luck was with us…didn’t see the first pen but saw the sending-off incident, it was totally justified as was the second pen.
Let’s hope our goalscoring constipation has ended. Lots of work to do on the training ground.
BTW Though Yoshi was magnificent.
Was Bertrand sulking?
Holy crap 1st on motd?!!
Don’t think so…how can you tell?
I thought Bertrand had a strange game, didn’t seem with it at all. Something going on there i reckon.
