Commentator said that VAR looked at whether SaintMaximin pulled Boufal or not and judged that he hadn’t. They must have been looking elsewhere if that is the case…

He dipped his shoulder to pushed the ball, no pull and momentum makes you do that, it was instinctive and a lack of discipline.
I maintain that it’s an explanation for Boufal’s shoulder dipping.

I suggest a balance of fairness, not swivel eyed bias.
I’ll give this one go.
If you thrust your chest forward and someone grabs your right arm and keeps it behind you, your left shoulder will swing round and your let arm will swing out for balance.
I think Boufal was dipping his chest to take the ball and the tug caused the twist that was deemed illegal.

He dipped his arm towards the ball, it was a penalty, I can not make that any simpler, I haven’t heard one professional saying it wasn’t one, looking at it I also agree.
