:pl: :saints: Saints v Manchester City :mancityfc: (Live on the BBC)

You mean bastard…I didn’t even get an honourable mention for my bold prediction. :frowning:

Your prediction was pure delusion and probably induced by your mad frog pills.

In the build up gaps when I had internet, BBC spoke about Ralph’s plan, work hard, run more than we ever have & be a little bit lucky.
Equally Ings said we look for their weaknesses and then look to exploit them.
So basically we had a plan & executed it.
Which to me is still the best buzz this morning.
Finally we are going into games with a plan & players able to execute it.
Equally, unless he didn’t give a shit, Peo should have known what was coming yet did nothing in his match set up until the drinks break then properly at HT.
Nice

Just because you don’t take Mad Frog Pills©…look where you are in the Superbru League re Mad Frog Pills© Mr. Wooden Spoon.

To be fair, Pep’s general plan of “I’ve got some fucking quality on the pitch” works out for him most of the time.

And it’s mostly true. Which is why Pep and the chequebooks have some serious questions to answer, such as “why didn’t we buy a defence”?

Even more simple, he just needed to buy a replacement for Vincent Kompany.
Still. Vestgergaard is available at a price they like to pay…

Yeah, but they’ve known that for years. He troubled the first team less and less due to injury.

Kudos to the Football Manager computer game network of scouts. Kompany was a star buy in that game at 17. Same with Messi, but at sixteen.

It doesn’t usually make much difference how many they let in, tbf. If Aguero had played I shudder to think what the scoreline would have been

McCarthy had the game of his life nobody was getting past him yesterday. Has his one fisted save been compared to Banks’s yet?

Yep, he had an unbelievable game, shades of Leeds in the snow :joy::joy:. I still think Aguero would have buried at least one of those chances Jesus missed though, and once the first one had gone in…

And 5.7 million people saw us do it…

One other thing from yesterday is that we didn’t miss Hojbjerg one bit.

Has he racked up any yellows yet?

He got a (harsh IMHO) yellow in the City game, think that was his fourth this season.
