You didn’t say they were average. You said they weren’t first teamers. The fact they have over 200 Premier League appearances between them suggests they are, in fact, first teamers.
this has genuinely made me feel happy. It’s been so long since we scored 3 and always looked in command and played attractive football. Still missed chances, but that’s ok as long as others go in.

Chuffed to buggery for JWP, JRod and Claude. Good result and sets us up nicely for Liverpool. Shame about the injury to Virgil though. Don’t understand why JWP gets so much stick. It reminds of the grief that Matt Oakley used to get.
Marginally, it depends on your definition of offside, if any bit of the attacker is ahead of the defender (which it was here) then they are offside.
I thought they changed the law so that there had to be daylight between the attacker and defender but hey what do I know??

Isn’t it any bit of the most advanced player that you can legally score from?
i.e. arms don’t count.
