Seriously good meeting today. Bletch, Rallyboy and my long standing mate Matt (not on the forum) all joined the regular crowd, except Ant, to exchange the usual banter. On to the next one Sotonians!

OK so I left early.
I thought I was in the doghouse. Turns out it’s all hunky dory and I could have stayed for another pint. Better safe than sorry though.
Good to meet Bletch and BTripz and catch up with pap, Lou, Bucks, Fowllyd, SO5, Rallyboy and Lets B Drinking (have I missed anyone?)
Must do it again soon. I can feel a major hoo ha coming on for the 3pm Saturday Stoke game

I sit this morning a tired man, contemplating the long trip back, but reflecting on a very good matchday beers afternoon. I’d arrived late, not fashionably as it goes, but having to a respond to some garnish of a work email pretending to be some shitburger of a problem. Only had time for one at the Rockstone before heading off to the ground, but we more than made up for that after getting to the South Western, the pub where Sotonians beers have ended (with or without bletch, as it goes).
Excellent to meet bTripz, and also good to spend time with Bletch when he doesn’t look like a confused festival goer. We had a bit of a tech chat once distilled down to three, although Lets Be Drinking also managed to pop his head around the door.
I did find out that Lou lives in constant fear of getting an earful from me on account of our semi-regular clashes on here. I can confirm that this hasn’t been an issue so far, but I am very keen to exploit that next time we’re out.

It was really nice to see everyone - lovely to meet Rallyboy (who I’m now expecting far more cutting remarks from), Bletch (who was exactly as I imagined him), and BBB (who was a sweetheart). Good to chat more with SO5 and Fowllyd. And as ever, lots of laughs with my favourite ménage a trois of Bucks, Pap and The Goat (which sounds like a dodgy cowboy film).

Absolutely lovely to meet Bucks, Goat, Pap, Bletch, Lets B Drinking and of course the lovely Lou Lou yesterday.
Everyone pretty well matched expectations, Lou wasn’t as verbal as I expected her to be and Bletch looks nothing like Robert de Niro, for shame!
My man love for Bletch has gone up in spades after learning what he does for a “living” now. I say living but I don’t think he even gets living wage for the outstanding work he does.
On to the next one…
