I’d vote for somewhere near (ish) a station for afterwards.
If we go to the Great Western. I could get the 8.04 which would get me to London by 10, and home by 10.45.
Definitely more appealing than the Platform.

I’m happy with that as the Platform is a trek in the wrong direction for me.
Don’t correct my obstinately incorrect naming of the pub! If they want to pick such a generic name, and as a result I frequently get it wrong, and everyone gets lost, then that’s their problem! Tossers!

Yeah the Great Western is a much more unusual name for a pub near a great railway in the western part of the country!
