Absolutely. @Lets-B-Drinking - I hear rumours you’re sometimes in The Guide Dog. That’s my hostelry of choice.
Been going there regularly for years, not just match days. However, my gang prefer to use The Bookshop pre-game and The Dog after.
Let me know next time you are down.
Unpopular opinion
We should have destroyed them. They were dog shite.
Too many players only operating at 100% and we dropped off the front foot.
They doubled up on Tino and kicked him to pieces.
We should have the nous to respond we didn’t and Ralph had to change the shape.
With Stuey we lose the pace of Redmond/others think we need a Moi/Stuey at #10 and a paceman against non top 6 teams.
Great run of results but we need to stay alert, not complacent.
Fortunately we were playing a team that has lost its way atm.
I can’t stress the fortunately enough.
Same old habits emerged when Villa applied a bit of pressure.
Che and Adam worked hard but we needed it to stick when played forward. Not necessarily their fault as the quality of passing deteriorated.
KWP is figuring out the left back role but his lack of left foot will always hinder a favourable outcome from a promising position.
We missed Redmond. No one is more surprised than me to see me type that.
I could go on but a wins a win and I’ll take it, with some reservations.
His problem Is that his dead ball skill has been over hyped and the rest of his game is ignored
I didn’t particularly enjoy the second half but at the end of the day both sides had three shots on target. We scored one and their keeper made two very, very decent saves. McCarthy only had to make three routine saves.
I also think if Elyounoussi had looked up earlier and played in Adam Armstrong then it could have been more. But in the end it didn’t even register as a chance created.
A few of our players weren’t at their best, particularly at the back, yet we still won and kept a clean sheet.
Yes Villa are shite but at least we still won. Not long ago we’d have dropped points in a game like that so I’m taking the positives. I was also convinced I’d end the evening cussing the referee for the injustice served up by failing to send off El Ghazi on two occasions.
“Are you watching Danny Ings”? Why Ings thought he could go to Villa and not get shit for it, I have no idea. I’m sure his bank balance is some consolation but seriously, what a wank move. They are doing exactly what I thought they would. Anyone who knows anything about football knew that Villa’s entire game revolved completely around Grealish. So now they look like a newly promoted team trying to adapt to the league and a new way of playing.
I’m going to throw it out there… I think Broja needs to play. Who with, fuck knows. You could make a case for all of Adams, Armstrong and Redmond (to a lesser extent). I just don’t see Broja missing the chances that Adams does.
Certainly some decent options compared to last season.
Now on to Norwich. Hopefully they don’t part ways with their manager after this weekend and give a new bloke a two week break to sort themselves out.
Bump. 15h ago
My old man missed the goal because the queues to get in again
It really is fucking shite
The club has just sent out a match day experience survey
I suggested that they may want to take the IT director out to the car park and shoot him
I’m not one for jumping queues but there is no organisation of the queues and the prospect of missing the start of the game means you can pick your spot to start. I choose as near the entrance gates as possible, stand there looking confused, look at my watch and say I’ve been queuing here for 25 minutes and nobody says, “Get to the back”
On a scale of 1 to 10, how difficult do you find that?
Ah…2, maybe 3.
Where did you get that picture from?
