Saints U23s v Norwich - FA Cup replay

A win and a clean sheet. Happy days!

I can honestly say, I clinched my fist, but that was all. Sad state of affairs. A week today and a winning goal from Saints that late and I am setting off around the block!

Did you have your stripy bowl and mug combo out today SOG?

Fair play to those that braved the arctic chill and lack of entertainment - when this pivotal game is mentioned in fifty years time, those brave few will be able to tell people that they were there.

The rest of us can just pretend we were.

Rotation policy. I’ll be fresh for Sunday.

With Norwich also resting players, I think we will win this one, without being dominant or convincing, but a win is all we need. Thanks

Ahem. You are welcome everyone. :lou_lol:

I thought I’d lie down and listen to radio Norfolk but ended up immediately asleep and waking up at 10pm. My wife said she briefly tried to wake me but gave up. They should release saints commentaries to the insomniacs of Britain.

Great stuff last night.

We WILL look back on the importance of that result to ā€œThe Projectā€

Harry Lewis kept a clean sheet with a makeshift defence in front of him in a 1st team game.

See? Every Cloud has a straw to clutch

Were there any positives? claise maybe although he didnt score. Lewis in goal, im not sure how much work he had to do. Mcqueen is al least a tryer.

Any more

Well we’ve done pretty well in the cups this year. I know we bowed out of the EL when we shouldn’t have, but domestic competitions have been good. This time next week we could be planning a trip to Wembley and if we do, there should be a fantastic feeling around the club and the supporters. But with the current sentiment towards the manager (unfair imho) it could be the first time since i’ve been a fan (40 years) that getting to a major cup final goes hand in hand with the calls for the managers sacking. Strange times.

Thank you kind Sir…it was the coldest I’ve ever been at St Marys. My stoicism was put to the sternest test last night. I wasn’t sure if my legs were still working or if I could have survived another 30 minutes of extra time. If it had gone to penalties I would have left early before they were taken.

Long’s late winner was an epiphany for meā€¦ā€œThere is a God!!ā€ I kept repeating as we walked unsteadily to the car.

From Claude’s post match interview it seems Changing Room Morale has led to Yoshida’s promotion to Captain as he ā€œgives satisfactionā€.

Happy Endings all round then

Yoshi captain. Strange days indeed. Although if it helps his confidence then fair play.

I’m concerned that this place is getting more like SWF every day.

What the fuck do you know about it you moronic twat! :lou_wink: :lou_is_a_flirt:

How so? No Heisenberg! No Alpine Saint!

Although is could be said that Barry fills both those roles nicely!

And that’s why no one votes for you BTripz! :lou_is_a_flirt:

Just noticed that the matchday threads are getting more and more negative, with more and more (negative) random theories being presented as fact. I don’t really like singling out posts as it can come across like I’m singling out posters (which I’m not) but you can kind of see what I mean if you look back over the thread.
