:saints:šŸ•“ Saints' next manager

MInd you after 3 decent managers onteh bounce are we not due a duffer? (apologies, not needing TEVA pantsor anything, but law of averages and all that… Les’s boxis bound to spit out a dud once in a while) :lou_surprised:

This is exactly the kind of thinking that caused Alan Partridge to lose his wife’s Vauxhall Nova in a coin toss bet to Jack ā€˜The Cat’ Calson. He also lost his own motor too.

On that double vehicular loss bombshell…

Alpine? Is that you?

I dunno, I found the lack of spaces and the mis-spelling of TENA detracted the, very salient (I think), point you were making!!

Nope Its Gay Highland Saint again… :lou_angry: He is obviously morose and always angry - I try to keep him calm but he seems to behave like a twat all the time… he has an uncle in Austria though …

Shit, Tena/Teva you obviously know more about incontinence pants than I do… :lou_lol:

Our Nige is 6th favourite at 12-1 and shortening.

Surely not. At least he wouldn’t fuck off after 5 minutes.

… I would have the mother of all meltdowns… :lou_is_a_flirt:

Not going to happen, so don’t worry.

Still not on sky bet, not taking bets as not confirmed that Koeman has gone!

Well if they don’t officially announce it until RK returns from hols it gives us more time to interview someone and then announce them at the same time/before/after. Before is best I think, then most people will ignore what is old news anyway.

And we’ll get someone better.

According to the Express, we’ve offered De Boer a deal at 3M a year.

Emery is about to be announced for PSG, apparently.

According to the Echo, Saints aren’t interested in De Boer. I wonder which story is more up to date.

Echo story has been published later.

But from De Boer’s perspective, Koeman would be a tough act to follow in his first season in English football’s top flight.

The comparisons with his compatriot and former teammate would not make it the ideal first overseas managerial job for the 46 year-old.

So Eddie is ruling himself out? Not sorry to read that. Nice man and good manager for Bournemouth but he is their David Moyes and will probably stay there for years without winning anything. I would hope we have set our sights higher and am still expecting something out of leftfield.

Doesn’t have the pull of a big name either. Might limit our transfer opportunities.

So would de Boer I feel.

I thought de Boer had ruled himself out last week?

You have to wonder if all this ruling out isnt just a rouse to get us hooked and to up the anti. Ron put several quids on his salary by playing hard to get. I hope we show a bit more class though and dont go down the Everton route. Throwing money at things tends to end in tears if you are on a budget.

Aye, £3m for de Boer seems a bit out there considering we were only supposedly going to give Ron £2.5m

De Boer has a glittering playing career behind him, has collected honours as both player and manager.

We’d be no worse off than we were with Koeman on the transfers front.

Some encouraging words in the Mirror concerning our overall situation.

Southampton do not regard Koeman’s departure as being as devastating as Mauricio Pochettino’s defection to Spurs was two years ago.

Back then, the ĀArgentinian had a group of young stars who were loyal to him and keen to follow him out of the door.

Saints believe the majority of their players will remain at the club post-Koeman.

Influential Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, 24, and England keeper Fraser Forster, 28, have already committed to contract extensions at St Mary’s.
