:labour: 🌅 Red Dawn - Life Under Labour

Jim Ratcliffe has said the UK has been colonised by immigrants (or words to that effect). Starmer seeing an opportunity not to be the story and shift focus has gone big and demanded that Ratcliffe apologies, thus giving the story far more oxygen that it deserves

when asked he could have just said I’m not that interested in what a billionaire tax exile has to say

instead Ratcliffe’s comments are all over the front page and a lot of people will be saying he has a point

he really is shit at politics

Who Starmer or Ratcliffe

Starmer - prettty sure Ratcliffe doesn’t give a flying fuck about politics or what most people think of him which is probably why he is a multi billionaire

Labour pulling another U turn

the cancelled council elections are now back on because of “new legal advice” which was probably Reform is going to kick your arse in the courts as well as at the ballot box

Again - do your homework before announcing your policy. Now you look like you are incompetent as well as devious

They are UK Poiticians

Unemployment now at COVID levels and youth unemployment at historic levels

Who would have thought jacking up the minimum wage and Ers NI by 36% over the last 5 years would fuck the youth

I think half the problem that Labour have now is that their PM is not the only empty vessel they have sailing on their red sea.

There’s a fucking flotilla of them, chosen to be loyal and factional, not competent.

It’s why most of the big leadership challengers come from the past.

So the Green Party win the Gorton and Denton by election with a substantial victory. Good on them. Labour pushed into 3rd with Reform in second. Cue Farage and the weasel they parachuted in to stand as a candidate complaining about an unfair result, straight out of the Trump lexicon.

Locally, Lib Dems retain Shirley, with a much reduced majority from Labour who gained just under 3% more votes than the previous election. Reform in third with what looks like a large number of disaffected Tory voters shifting to them. It’s my ward and i can’t remember a local election attracting as much canvassing as this one did. From about 4 week out there were plenty of knocks on the door from various parties, leaflets through the letterbox and even letters. All very pleasant and amiable (well they’re after a vote), but good to see local politics being represented in an enthusiastic way. The Labour campaign focused on setting themselves up as neck and neck with Reform and their tagline was “Vote labour to stop Reform”. Hardly inspiring and they obviously failed to account for the Lib Dem vote.

Nice to see Hannah Spencer, a normal working gal who’s never had a meal on an expense account in her life, stuff the career politicians who now have to pay for everything themselves. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

All the gammons are calling FIX. All the Muslims marched their families in to vote Green despite them all wanting to vote Reform.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

To say this campaign was toxic is an understatement, without family and sectarian voting the Greens would have won.

One thing though, I can’t remember the Greens speaking about any environmental issues at all during the campaign?

I think I dislike them more than the Liberal Democrat’s.
