Diplomacy is often distasteful - we have been doing shit like this for generations - how many horrific individuals (far worst than Trump) have we dealt with favourably because they happened to be the enemy of our enemy?
Yes we copped the steel tariffs, but had Starmer gone over there and given him what for, I suspect that the fall out would have been infinitely worse.
