How interesting. Not often we see much talk of poetry round here (or previous carnations of the site). I sincerely approve.
I do like my poetry, and even used to write a bit myself. All of it was rubbish, but I found it very cathartic and a good release when I was I was, unwell.
Anyway, my favourite is a bit obvious but I still think he is a genius. Very glad to have seen him at Record Store Day in Soho recently.
As mentioned above, I’m a fan of Scroobius Pip too. Though I always felt he was better with Dan le Sac’s backing. Someone else I’m really into at the moment (as I mentioned on another thread, so sorry) is Kate Tempest. She absolutely blew me away at Glastonbury. Unlike Pip, I think she is actually better without the backing music.
