Manchester United 0-0 Southampton - PLAYER RATINGS:

Show/hide article…

Manchester United stuttered to a goalless draw with Southampton as they slipped to third spot in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Alex McCarthy, enjoying his Premier League debut for Saints, kept a clean sheet as Jose Mourinho was left frustrated.

Here, Sportsmail rates the players’ performances from a frustrating evening for United boss Jose Mourinho.

Good early save to deny James Ward-Prowse and did even better to thwart Shane Long.

Direct and dangerous going forward and alert at the back.

Still struggling with the pace of the Premier League but just about coped.

Used his experience when Saints threatened on the counter.

The latest in a series of solid displays from the recalled left back.

Not his most commanding defensive effort and offered little going forward.

Covered plenty of ground but failed to stamp his authority on midfield.

Busy display, directing United’s attack and looked the best hope of carving a goal.

Lively, hard-working and dangerous but no end product.

Lasted just eight minutes until suffering a head injury but still missed a great headed chance.

Premier League debut to remember with plenty of solid handling.

Completely dominated Mkhitaryan and battled well against Martial.

Lucky to escape a penalty shout but coped well with the pacy Rashford.

Innocent party in Lukaku’s injury but guilty of missing a great chance to score.

Another solid defensive show, especially in a well-timed tackle on Rashford.

Provded an important barrier in front of his back four.

Helped Saints keep a lid on the Pogba-Matic engine room.

Only denied a goal by De Gea’s brilliance and set up a handful of chances.

Well suited to Saints operating on the counter-attack with some neat passing.

Skilful and his footwork made him difficult to contain.

Should have buried Saints’ best chance at the start of second half.

Got most of the decisions that mattered right.

Manchester United draw a blank as Southampton hold on for hard-fought point at Old Trafford

Show/hide article…

Another draw and yet more points dropped but no late drama like against Leicester City or Burnley. This time, against an organised but fallible Southampton outfit, Manchester United did not show any of the invention or spirit that made those two results easier to swallow. Instead, this was a performance of few positives from a team that knows it has lost the battle it most wanted to win.

A point here, United’s third successive league draw, was not even enough to preserve their league position, with Chelsea moving into second. Only a few weeks ago, United seemed destined to at least finish as ‘the best of the rest’ behind a rampant Manchester City but victory for Pep Guardiola’s side at Crystal Palace on New Year’s Eve will put them 17 points clear of their neighbours. Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, needs to start looking over his shoulder.

Southampton were there to be picked off, having come into this game on the back of a 5-2 pummelling at Tottenham Hotspur, but an efficient defensive display from the visitors proved enough to keep the number of clear-cut chances down to a minimum and shut out a United side lacking in imagination. The game’s most notable moment was a regrettable one. Romelu Lukaku was stretchered off in the opening stages after clashing heads with Wesley Hoedt.

Despite the goalless 90 minutes that were to follow, either side could have taken an early lead. Lukaku spurned United’s first presentable opportunity, heading over from inside the penalty area after connecting with Juan Mata’s cross. At the other end, David de Gea did well to palm away James Ward-Prowse’s placed effort after Sofiane Boufal’s probing work down the right.

This lively start was overshadowed, though, by the head injury to Lukaku, which caused considerable concern among his manager and his team-mates. The Belgian lay still on the ground for six minutes, dazed but conscious, before he was delicately carried off on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace and an oxygen mask. All four sides of Old Trafford stood to applaud him off.

Once play re-started, Hoedt was heavily involved again and wasted Southampton’s best opening of the first half. After peeling away from Nemanja Matic at a corner, the visiting centre-back was granted a free header at De Gea’s goal but he failed to connect cleanly, glancing the ball wide of the far post.

Marcus Rashford, Lukaku’s replacement, did much the same as Hoedt on the half hour mark when he struggled to direct Ashley Young’s cross on target. This was Rashford’s chance to impress in a central striker role, his preferred position, but it was one of his fellow academy graduates who came closest to finding a breakthrough for United before the interval.

The in-form Jesse Lingard felt he deserved a penalty after trying to control a bouncing ball and seeing it strike Maya Yoshida’s raised arm. Most around Old Trafford agreed but not referee Craig Pawson who waved away all protests. Lingard tried again on the cusp of half time, glancing at a cross from the man who he has replaced as United’s No 10, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. It skimmed wide.

United had grown in dominance as the first half went on but still struggled to test Alex McCarthy, starting in Southampton’s goal with regular first-choice Fraser Forster dropped. Indeed, when the first clear-cut chance of the second 45 minutes came, it was De Gea who was forced into action.

The opening stemmed from a lapse by Luke Shaw, bested by Boufal early on and generally suffering a day to forget against his former club. This time, Shaw allowed Ward-Prowse to advance down the right flank unopposed and by the time he realised his error, Southampton’s frontman Shane Long, without a goal in 322 days, was in position to end his drought. Long would have to wait a little longer, though. De Gea saved his low, placed effort with an outstretched boot.

The Stretford End made pointed, repeated calls for Anthony Martial to be introduced and Mourinho eventually granted them their wish in the 65th minute, with a rusty Mkhitaryan replaced. Martial duly won a free-kick from Oriol Romeu on the edge of Southampton’s penalty area following his first mazy run at the visitors’ defence, but Young dragged the resulting kick high and wide of McCarthy’s top right-hand corner.

Martial’s introduction was no cure-all though and still United lacked urgency. As the final quarter of an hour approached, Boufal and Long were granted all the time they needed to set up Dusan Tadic on the edge of the area. The Serbian should have done better with the space provided but merely trickled a shot wide of the upright.

United thought they had found a reprieve a few minutes later when, in a crowded penalty area, Matic poked a shot towards McCarthy’s bottom right-hand corner and Pogba followed up to tap in. He should have left it. The assistant referee’s flag was raised on the far side and the goal was ruled out. Had it stood, it would not have been deserved.

Saints claim a point at Old Trafford

Show/hide article…

United went close on multiple occasions, with vital inceptions from Maya Yoshida and Wesley Hoedt preserving the clean sheet and earning a deserved point.

The deadlock is the home side’s third consecutive draw, as bitter rivals Man City continue to extend their lead at the summit, while Saints can glean some pride from a valiant away effort, and their first shutout since October.

Mauricio Pellegrino made four changes to the side that faced Spurs on Boxing Day, with a first Premier League start of the season handed to young full-back Sam McQueen.

Alex McCarthy replaced Fraser Forster in goal, while James Ward-Prowse and Dušan Tadić were restored as part of an attacking three, completed by the returning Sofiane Boufal.

The home side carved the first clear-cut opening, and it was a trio of usual suspects on the scene, as the first assault on Saints’ goal flashed uncomfortably over the crossbar.

Stand-in skipper, Paul Pogba swept a cross-field pass to Juan Mata, who trapped the ball with instantaneous precision, and drove a square lofted pass towards target man Romelu Lukaku.

The striker climbed well, before meeting the delivery with his head, but couldn’t guide it under the bar, as McCarthy scrambled to dissuade the lively Belgian.

Ward-Prowse had a sight of goal moments later, fizzing a strike low on target, which would have crept inside the far post had David De Gea not been typically alive to the impending danger.

An early collision between Hoedt and Lukaku meant a premature ending for the latter, who was stretchered off in the 15th minute, after some lengthy treatment. Marcus Rashford was introduced in his place.

Ward-Prowse, cleverly spotting a De Gea miscalculation, curled a wicked free-kick towards the near post in the 18th minute, which required significant intervention. The United 'keeper was ultimately equal to it, cumbersomely punching to safety, before the home side were on the attack themselves.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan initiated a quick-fire break, with Mata and Rashford for company. The wayward pass eluded both, as Saints escaped a momentary overload down the right.

But the hosts were flooding forward with little invitation, and Mata again went close in the 26th minute. The Spaniard latched on to a fortuitous rebound, before lashing at the shot with power, calling on McCarthy to produce a goal-saving stop with a strong left boot.

Ashley Young was providing width down the right, and gaining plenty of ground, while needing to keep a mindful eye on Boufal, who was proportionately finding convenient space as the half began to get stretched.

The Moroccan international embarked on a couple of promising solo runs, mesmerising opposition defenders with his quick feet, without managing to unlock that final incisive pass.

United finished the half with more intent, as chances fell for Jesse Lingard and Luke Shaw. Fresh from a brace last time out, Lingard’s two efforts were the most noteworthy, as he glanced a deft header marginally wide of the upright in the 43rd minute and sent a side-footed shot unbearably close seconds prior.

Goalless at the break, Saints reemerged with vigour. Shane Long tasked De Gea with producing the save of the match in the 48th minute, and the 27-year-old replied with characteristic self-assurance.

The Irishman’s low drive almost wrong footed De Gea, who untangled his feet just in time to obstruct the shot.

Mkhitaryan’s effort stung the gloves of McCarthy in the 56th minute, but the breakthrough remained elusive, despite both teams avidly searching for an opener.

Tadić met Ward-Prowse’s cross 20 minutes from time, with a flicked header that failed to trouble De Gea, but chances were becoming more plentiful, with both teams committing increased manpower forward.

A cute interchange on the edge of the area between Long and Tadić gifted the Serb another chance in the immediate aftermath, with Boufal involved in the prelude. The shot crept wide of the post, with De Gea’s nonchalant stance an indicator of the effort’s inaccuracy.

Resolute at the back, Saints weathered an onslaught as the clocked ticked over 90 minutes. Both centre-halves were called in to action, to safeguard parity, but the visitors remained organised and were good value for a hard-fought point.

Back at St Mary’s in three days, Saints will host Crystal Palace in the hope of building on tonight’s much improved team performance.

Manchester United 0-0 Southampton: FIVE THINGS YOU MISSED

Show/hide article…

Manchester United’s festive form continued to nosedive as they laboured to a 0-0 draw with Southampton.

Romelu Lukaku was taken off in the first-half with a serious head injury, as both sides wasted chances to score throughout.

A third consecutive draw for Jose Mourinho’s side means Manchester City can extend their lead to 16 points with another victory, while Chelsea leapfroged United into second by one point.

Here, Sportsmail brings you a round-up of all the things you may have missed from the clash at Old Trafford…

Celebs check in one last time in 2017

Fresh off their recent defeat in Strictly Come Dancing, finalists Aljaz Skorjanec and Gemma Atkinson were seen enjoying Manchester United’s final game of 2017

Joining them at Old Trafford was Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan, who was also in good spirits for the chilly end-of-year clash.

The decision to start with both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku in the same starting line-up backfired somewhat against Burnley.

Based off that small piece of evidence, not too many United fans would’ve been protesting for an immediate repeat.

Prior to kick-off, the team-sheet issued by the Manchester giants did in fact suggest that both Zlatan and the club’s £75m marquee forward would again both start, only for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be brought back from the wilderness for the game itself.

Speaking of Mkhitaryan, this was his first start in a Manchester United shirt since his side lost 1-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge back on November 5.

Mkhitaryan lasted a little more than 60 minutes and endured a mixed spell on the pitch, delivering a few accurate passes which others wasted, and wasting possession in key areas himself.

His statistics made for grim reading: one shot, eight crosses - three accurate - and he lost possession 18 times.

The Armenian forward had made just four substitute appearances before facing the Saints, with many suggesting that he is set for a move away from Old Trafford in the January transfer window.

Southampton signed Alex McCarthy from Crystal Palace back in August 2016, but the shot-stopper had to wait until the end of 2017 to make his league debut.

Fraser Forster was dropped by Manuel Pellegrino following a poor run of form, prompting the England U-21 international to step in between the sticks.

McCarthy certainly proved his worth, holding Man United to a clean sheet to mark his debut in the best way possible.

Ashley Young gets away with one?

Mid-way through the second half, Ashley Young had an altercation with Dusan Tadic that could land him in a spot of bother.

As Southampton took a corner, Young was seen to elbow Tadic with what appeared to be a deliberate move.

No official at the time picked up on it, which means the United full-back could land himself a retrospective ban in the coming days.

McCarthy: Let’s make this a turning point

Show/hide article…

Saints shipped five goals to Tottenham at Wembley on Boxing Day, but responded with a spirited display and looked just as likely to break the deadlock as hosts Manchester United.

McCarthy was handed a first Premier League start for the club by Mauricio Pellegrino, and rewarded his manager with a clean sheet in the goalless draw.

“It’s obviously the perfect start for me,” said the goalkeeper. “But the main thing is we got a point and a clean sheet away from home.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, but hopefully it’s a turning point for us.

“The fans travelled to Wembley and they were disappointed, so we knew we had to show a reaction in tonight’s game.

“I think they’ll see that we’ve done that. We’re happy with the point – we would’ve liked three points, but we’ll take the point away from home.

“The team as a whole was excellent in their defending and going forward as well.”

Pellegrino hails spirited Saints

Show/hide article…

Saints responded to defeat against Tottenham with a resilient display during the 0-0 draw, which also saw them threaten to steal all three points on numerous occasions.

“We are really pleased because it wasn’t just important to get a point, it was important the way we competed in this pitch with personality and with character,” Pellegrino reflected.

“Manchester United were never comfortable on the pitch and this is something that is good for us, because after Tottenham we needed to do something to try to grow.

“I felt there were 11 players, fighting, keeping the ball and we had some chances to try to win. This is really good news for us.”

Pellegrino’s men dug in during the final ten minutes to preserve the point and a clean sheet, something which was another pleasing aspect for the boss.

He added: “It’s good for everybody. The last clean sheet was against West Brom I think so it’s important to try to be more solid and it gives confidence to everyone.

“Right now we have to be positive and use this performance for the future, because we have another big game coming up on Tuesday (against Palace).”

Manchester United 0-0 Southampton: Pellegrino’s delight at Saints attitude

Show/hide article…

Mauricio Pellegrino praised the attitude and personality of his team as they recovered from their hammering at Tottenham to hold Manchester United to a goalless draw at Old Trafford.

The two performances could hardly have been in starker contrast, as Saints played with determination and unity and fully deserved to take at least a point from the game against Jose Mourinho’s side.

In the short time between the matches Saints sold Virgil van Dijk for a world record £75m, and Pellegrino also made the decision to drop Fraser Forster and replace him with Alex McCarthy, and it all paid off.

Pellegrino said: “For sure we are really pleased, not just for the point, we are happy because our performance was really good from the beginning until the end, especially in the way we approached the game.

“We were really focussed with attitude, with personality.

“United never was comfortable on the pitch and was always uncomfortable and that is something we talk about our job with the ball and without the ball and also we have had our moments to try to score a goal.

“Still the Premier League continue really quick and Tuesday we have another massive game (against Crystal Palace) and we have to use this game as a base to try to grow and try to improve in different areas but I am really happy with my players.”

Mourinho was left frustrated that referee Craig Pawson didn’t give his side a penalty when Maya Yoshida handled the ball in the area.

However, Saints also had cause for complaint after replays appeared to show Ashley Young digging an elbow into Dusan Tadic.

“I haven’t seen the replay but it is difficult for the referee to see in one second what happened in all different places and I have to respect the decision,” said Pellegrino of the Tadic incident.

“They were also talking about the Maya handball maybe but in one second everything can change and when the game is really tight everything can change and we have to respect the position.”

The performance was a big show of character after van Dijk’s departure to Liverpool, and Pellegrino reflected: “Every single week it’s an opportunity to try to improve.

“Without Virgil we have to try to think about the future and bring to the squad a couple of targets to improve and try to be stronger.

“In six months or one year’s time we can maybe talk about if to sell Virgil was positive or not, but for this we have to wait.”

Saints are going to be active in the January transfer market, but Pellegrino admitted he wasn’t sure how quickly moves would happen.

“We never know because I can’t control the market,” he confessed. “It depends on the possibility we will have.

“It’s not easy because in December important players are not easy to bring. We have opportunities and we have to be ready.”

Martin Keown says Jose Mourinho has ‘lost’ Manchester United players

Show/hide article…

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has said Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has ‘lost’ the Old Trafford dressing room.

The well-respected Sportsmail columnist who won three Premier League titles, three FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup during his time with the North London giants insisted he did not sense any ‘fight’ from the United players during their frustrating 0-0 home draw with Southampton on Saturday.

The goalless stalemate means the Red Devils are 14 points behind ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City with Pep Guardiola’s men having played one game fewer.

Speaking on BT Sport after Southampton took a point at Old Trafford with a 0-0 draw the Gunners icon said about Mourinho: 'I think he’s lost the players. I didn’t sense any fight from the players.

'There’s work to do with these players to get back on board [with them]. There doesn’t seem to be the harmony here that I would have seen at the start of the season.

‘It’s going to be five years now that Manchester United have not been champions, and it’s unthinkable in the Alex Ferguson era to see where the club has now fallen to.’

Fierce competitor Keown, who is still a hero in the red and white parts of North London, had numerous clashes with United during his time at Arsenal, as both teams challenged for top honours in the 1990s and early 2000s.

In September 2003 Keown was famously seen snarling in Ruud van Nistelrooy’s face after the Dutchman missed a last-minute penalty which saw their league match at Old Trafford end in a goalless draw. It was a result that helped the Gunners remain unbeaten during their Invincibles season.

However, despite the history between Keown and United he gave his opinion on the United dressing room as a former professional footballer turned pundit.

He said: 'OK, it’s a former Arsenal player having a pop at Manchester United but you don’t come into Manchester United and get away with that. I can’t believe today, a tepid performance.

'I expected much more from Manchester United today, at least to get three points in the bag. They’ve been professional to this point in the season and now the wheels have come off.

‘The top four is not a given for them, it’s going to be very difficult with City running away with it, but I’d be very interested to see where [Mourinho] goes with this one because he seems to have lost the players today.’

Man Utd legend Paul Scholes BLASTS £89m signing Paul Pogba after Southampton draw

Show/hide article…

That’s according to former midfielder and BT Sport pundit Paul Scholes.

Jose Mourinho splashed out £89m to bring the Frenchman back to Old Trafford last summer after a four year spell in Serie A.

The 24-year-old has been in and out of the side this season due to injury and suspension but has played the last three Premier League games, including today’s goalless encounter with Southampton.

But his return to the side has resulted in three draws and Scholes doesn’t think that Pogba is putting in the effort or performances that he’s capable of.

Manchester United 0-0 Southampton: Saints hold United

Show/hide article…

Saints bounced back from their Boxing Day hammering by Tottenham to hold Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford.

For United it was a third draw in a row in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s side also lost striker Romelu Lukaku to a serious-looking head injury as they were forced to settle for a point for a third game in succession.

The hosts had a strong penalty appeal turned down and had a late Paul Pogba goal disallowed for offside, but Saints arguably deserved a point for their resilience.

Before he went off after a nasty clash of heads with Wesley Hoedt, Lukaku headed over a glorious early chance for United, while Jesse Lingard also put a header narrowly wide.

Lingard also appeared to be frustrated by the hand of Maya Yoshida in the box, but nothing was given by referee Craig Pawson.

The Lukaku injury came less than 10 minutes into the game. The striker was carried off on a stretcher and wearing an oxygen mask after a stoppage of around five minutes.

That further changed Mourinho’s game plan after leaving Zlatan Ibrahimovic out of his squad altogether. Marcus Rashford, dropped to the bench, was soon sent on.

Forster’s replacement Alex McCarthy looked confident as he made his first Premier League appearance for almost two years, but he was fortunate not to concede early on to Lukaku. The £75million striker headed over from seven yards after being picked out by Juan Mata.

It proved Lukaku’s only significant involvement, but Southampton went close soon after as Sofiane Boufal beat the offside trap and pulled the ball back through a crowded area to James Ward-Prowse.

Ward-Prowse made a good connection, but David de Gea saved well to his left.

The atmosphere fell flat as the first half wore on with neither side able to fully impose themselves.

United had the better of the openings, but were wasteful in possession and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, back in the starting line-up for the first time since November 5, was particularly culpable.

On the occasion Mkhitaryan did deliver a good cross, Lingard headed narrowly wide.

Saints also survived a penalty appeal for handball against Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, as well as the one against Yoshida, while McCarthy saved from Mata and Nemanja Matic.

At the other end Ward-Prowse forced De Gea to save from a free-kick and an unmarked Hoedt headed wide following a corner.

Shane Long looked set to end a goal drought stretching back to February early in the second half, but De Gea saved with his feet.

Mourinho began to get frustrated and shouted angrily at fourth official Bobby Madley after apparently disagreeing with a decision.

His team struggled to match that fire, but Ashley Young went close with a free-kick deflected narrowly wide.

United applied near constant pressure in the closing stages, but Saints managed to hold firm.

Pogba did tap the ball into the net from close range after a goalmouth scramble, but the flag was raised for offside.

Jose Mourinho: Man Utd punished by Craig Pawson’s bad decision

Show/hide article…

Jose Mourinho complained that referee Craig Pawson’s “bad” decision not to award Manchester United a penalty against Southampton “punished” his side.

During the 0-0 at Old Trafford, which left United in third place in the Premier League, Maya Yoshida seemingly handled in the penalty area, only for Pawson to deem it unintentional.

Mourinho’s side failed to break down a Saints side who have won only once in 12 games, but the United boss complained that Pawson, along with other referees from recent games, punished the hosts.

Asked about Pawson’s decision, Mourinho said: "A very good referee, one of the most promising young referees not just in England, but in Europe too, had a very bad decision that punished us.

"Then, the game was about us trying, missing some important chances, and always trying to create, always trying to play. I think we deserved to win the match.

"I know my players so when I see people like (Juan) Mata almost in hysterics I know, I could understand immediately there is no doubt. And then at half-time I watch it. It is a penalty like (Marcus) Rashford against Leicester was a penalty, like (Ander) Herrera against City was a penalty.

“[Pawson] is unlucky, and I repeat without any problem, that the three referee’s performances in these matches - (Michael) Oliver against City, (Jon) Moss against Leicester, and Craig tonight - were good referees, good performances. Unlucky decisions for us, which obviously punished us.”

Mourinho’s side are now without a win in four games in all competitions, and could fall 16 points behind rivals Man City if they beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

The United manager added that he felt his side did enough to beat Southampton, despite the visitors’ having several opportunities of their own, and bemoaned the early loss of striker Romelu Lukaku to a head injury, saying he did not wish to play Marcus Rashford for an entire game.

"I think we played enough to win. With all the difficulties, we played enough to win. We started the game and we lose the striker, and we lose one of the only two changes I have on the bench, to change in terms of attacking areas, which leaves me just with one change for the rest of the 90 minutes.

“I had to bring Rashford to the game for 90 minutes when he clearly needs a bit of rest which I couldn’t give him.”

Mauricio Pellegrino: Man Utd were never comfortable against Southampton

Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino claimed Manchester United were never comfortable in his side’s 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

Despite winning just once in 12 games, the Saints claimed a credible draw at United, and created several opportunities of their own.

Pellegrino was delighted with the way his side played, and said the hosts were never allowed to settle in.

“For sure we are really pleased, not just for the point, we are happy because our performance was really good from the beginning to the end, especially in the way we approached the game,” he said.

"In the way we approached the game, good focus, attitude, personality. United were never comfortable on the pitch and were always uncomfortable on the pitch.

“We have also had our moments to score, but still the Premier League continues very quickly, and we need to use Tuesday’s game [against Crystal Palace] to grow and improve in different areas, but I am very happy with my players.”

Pellegrino took the bold decision to drop out-of-form goalkeeper Fraser Forster for the trip to United, and replacement Alex McCarthy put in a good performance as the Saints earned a clean sheet.

The Saints manager insisted the change was no different to rotation of outfield players, and refused to say whether McCarthy will now be No 1 at St Mary’s.

“It’s the same as when I change some [outfield] players, because I want to give some opportunities to others,” he said. "Alex had to show his capacity, his quality on the pitch. Obviously the goalkeeper is a special position, but most of my players have or have had opportunities in the Premier League, and nobody can complain about that.

"I think he was good, calm, and always showing personality in a difficult game. Because especially at the end, and in some first-half moments, it was difficult. But in general the defensive job as a team was good.

Asked if McCarthy is now first choice, Pellegrino added: “In football nothing is fixed, everything is changing all the time. The reality today will change tomorrow.”

Asked if the departure of Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool was a weight off the club’s shoulders, Pellegrino said only time will tell.

“Every single week is an opportunity to improve. Without Virgil now we have to think about the future, to bring a couple targets to the squad and make it stronger,” he said.

“In six months, or one year’s time, maybe we can talk about whether the sale was positive or not, but we have to wait.”
