North London Yobs V Southampton FC

Agreed. Think we should, to celebrate the top 4 latest threads all being footie related :sunglasses:

You’re doing something wrong when Diego Costa is the victim.

You gotta love Costa and his ability to get other players in the shit. You can guarantee that Costa had been chirping away at Dembele all game and giving him a few sly digs along the way.

True CB, but dont you just wish footballers would stop being such girlies… stop this ‘tarty gouging’ and biting - (surely the stuff of pre school) and just deck the twat?

We are either going to get the backlash of their failure to keep the title challenge going, or we will catch them at a good time. The pressure is still on them from Arsenal, so they will be gunning (pardon the pun) for us for sure.

Tough on to call, but they are pretty good.

Hold on Arsenal will be losing to City anyway, so does not matter what we do, or what they do to us, for them really. I think they have second place.

For us on the other hand, we need to win our last 2 to stand any chance of Europe.

Suddenly I find myself taking Diego Costa’s side - even though he has edged out Suarez to take the title of _the most unlikable twat in world football. _

:astonished:

The FA have charged Dembele with violent conduct. They feel it is sufficiently serious to warrant more than the usual 3 match ban. He has until 6pm tomorrow to respond.

Reading their fanzine they think that Dembele being the only player charged is an excellent result. Got away with it.

Agreed.

And much as I like Ryan Bertrand and think he is a massive player for us – on this occasion, I’d go for Psycho Dennis at Left Back.

They have got away with it - minor fine for the control of players, only one suspended, the rest are cleared to play on.

Fair enough I reckon. The gouging was the only thing they could be punished for retrospectively. Everything else was leniently dealt with by Clattenburg at the time. Should have been a red card for Dier and possibly a couple of others but Clattenburg bottled that.

A fine and a good telling off for letting your players behave like a bunch of drunken thugs. Standard.

… and where is the moral outrage in the media? Had it been an unfashionable club, surely we would have seen a more critical angle… ‘role models’ shameful acts etc.

Yep…biting or eye-gouging…which is worse? Discuss. :lou_wink_2:

I understand that his leniency on tackling has saved a few players from red cards but what about the off-the-ball stuff?

Surely Clattenberg wouldn’t have said that he saw the hand being stood on but he thought it was an accident? :astonished:

Also he can’t claim to have seen everything that went on in the rucks, or that he was happy to see a manager on the pitch or that he was happy to see the other manager pushed to the ground?

Let’s remember, Vardy got an extra ban for his dissent.

I’m surprised that there isn’t more action being taken.

Another white wash and cover up its a conspiracy I tell you.

Mark Clattenberg would probably have a quiet word in your ear at this point.

“You’ve changed since you played for Sotonians”

Please don’t join Livertonians at the end of the season, RB.

There is no doubt in my mind that Lamela meant to tread on Fabregas but I’m not sure that the footage is conclusive enough for the FA. I haven’t seen any other clips. What else was caught on camera?

Personally I would ban Lamela for his stupid haircut.
