First 20 minutes of the second half we were stroking the ball around like we were 5-0 up. Newcastle scored because we were stroking it around like we were 5-0 up. Complacency will be our undoing this season if we keep up like this.

I don’t even blame McCarthy at this point, they know he can’t play out from the back even when he isn’t under pressure, so why they pass back to him and expect him to play a precision pass under pressure is more on the manager and players around him. If we continue with McCarthy then the gameplan should be just to fucking hoof it if there is an opposition player within 30 yards.

That is so true.
Social Media is awash with idiots bad mouthing him, ignoring the fact that he’s a shot stopping, cross catching, goal kicking, goalkeeper, not a fuckin’ skillful, ball playing midfielder.
At the end of last season he wasn’t playing out from the back when under pressure, he was playing it long. Go back to that because he’ll be playing until we get a ball playing midfield goalkeeper.
