🎄 New Year

“What’s that star on the wall?”

jjTUwR

If you know, you know.

This anything to do with you @CB-Saint ?

Nope - the maniacal look in my eye when I was brandishing the carving knife kept everyone in check

Honey?
What do you want for dinner tonight?
Me:
Baked Beans & Scrambled Eggs on Toast…

Mrs P_F: Oh thank God comfort food at last

Well
, 2024 is fucking off witha decent sunset and who knows? Maybe the forecast Aurora will make it down this far tonight while Health & Safety cancel all your events due to maybe a windy day.

At least Lidl ended the year with a bang.
Free Beer today. Buy 8 pay for 4 as they called it, and for once it was actually a deal as I checked the beer prices on Saturday in th planning for tonight.

Yes, as usual, staying home pizza slices all night home made Salsa, Hummus and Guacamole

This year because PiS lost the election they aren’t doing a big ego TV show from Zakopane. The usual suspects have jumped to Polsat (allegedly minus Modern Talking but with Ottaman instead)

TVP who had Zakopane (damn there are a lot of pissed off foreign tourists down there for now NO party) - so TVP have Katowice with a long line of B & C - list stars but as a saving grace, Bryan Adams in concert.

Bryan is here in town in July £60 a ticket, seen him 4 times always a great sing/dance along but not £120 for both of us.
He’ll probably do 6 of his biggest hits tonight spread over the 4 hours of the show.

We have told friends/family they are welcome if they bring booze for a change.
That dhould ensure a peaceful night

Have a good one

Got any spare jobs??

I could do floor mopping

You would have to take EG nationality for that position.

Send me a form!
Easy enough for them to become Brits…

You been reading the Daily Heil again Phil?

I lol.
So Brian Adams rocked up in Katowice and did a couple of pairs of songs.

And has caused a meltdown because he & his band played live.

And all the ocals in the 4hourcshow mimed.

Locals" the shame of it, our singers should make albums, do prper gigs/tours etc.

Lol

He plays Krakow in June £60 ish a ticket

I don’t really enjoy this time of year, the cold weather plays havoc with my bronchiectasis and I get the New Year blues. So I got up this morning, thought ‘fuck it’, made a phone call to my friend in Thailand and invited myself over there. Just booked the flight, leave next Sunday 12th for 10 weeks. A mad rush now sorting everything out, I went to bed last night thinking about it and this morning persuaded myself it was a good idea and went ahead before I changed my mind. My travel insurance was a bit of a shock though, nearly doubled as I’ve moved into the 75 to 79 age bracket. I think I need a lie down. My son is going to stop off for a couple of weeks on his way home from India so that will be fun.
