I was feeling confident of us sneaking a result at The Theatre of Dreams until I saw why it is named just that. In their last 10 home games Utd have failed to score before half time, playing shite boring football, the crowd are fast asleep dreaming of previous times under Fergie.

What’s the deal with the TACTICS we’re playing at the moment? I missed the last two games, except for seeing them on MOTD, but MOTD don’t really bother talking bout tactics. They mostly talk about goals.
This is what I Gather from Sources: We play like a 3 at the back, but one of the 3 is Bert Rand, which seems weird, and then like a 5 in midfield (and one of them is Targett, which is weird), and then like Mane & Long up front. Is that about right?
a) What happens with Tadic, when Tadic comes on?
b) Is the idea that we can switch easily back to 4-3-3 if i.e. circumstance arises, with Bert Rand at Left Back and i.e. Targett, I suppose, playing wide forward? Or does that Not Happen.
c) Since when is Targett good Attacking? I missed that Memo.
d) Is Mane really striker, or is he more In Behind or i.e. Go Where You Want?
e) Is Charlie ‘Charles’ Austin signed with this formation in mind, cos i.e. we need 2 strikers rather than 1, so is i.e. this gonna be Permanent Formation? Is this why also Koeman wants to sign Bruno Martins Indi, cos he wants another bro who can play CB and LB to a better standard than Yoshida?
f) Is it good Tactic to play vs Manchester United of Manchester?

Targett has been pretty good lately, Bear. Set up one of our goals with a decent cross, also got the penalty.
Mané would be a striker if he could get the fucking ball into the net, but he goes where he wants, and even without scoring, is a huge asset to the team. Even if he’s doing something ultimately wasteful, a lot of time and effort is spend trying to stop him. Also very explosive - can’t imagine defenders getting a moment’s peace.
Dunno about the rest. I know fuck all about football, remember.

Honestly, pap must be the worst IT helpdesk consultant in history! When his customers ring him up cos their not getting their email, or cos their windows desktop “looks different”, he prob just sends them the Windows Manual.
Bertrand plays in a back 3 with Double VD and Hose. His pace is valuable there because Hose is not the quickest and Double VD tends to go for the first ball (usually winning it).
If we are under pressure, Targett and Cedric drop back to make a solid looking 5 but generally they have been v. attack minded in the last couple of games.
Targett looks much more comfortable with Bert mopping up behind him. It has really let him open his legs.
Yes, it also allows us to switch quickly to 433 if necessary.
Mané has a free role behind Shlong. If he could finish it would be better. He does win a shit ton of free kicks. Mostly by diving or having quick feet. Opposition defenders spend at least 8 minutes of every match laughing at his hair. This is v. distracting for them.
Tadic has been replacing Mané. But scoring.
Not sure how Austin will be used but hopefully he will be prolific. We could do with a 20 goal a season striker.
I think we will stick with 352 against Man United.
