Well, i watched the game live, in a bar in Thailand, with a couple of Liverpool supporters. They all agreed that it was a nailed on penalty. Which would have meant we would have been 1-0 up. There is no question that it would have been given if it had been at the other end, Disgraceful! The referee didnât refer it to VAR, why not? Because the ball didnât go out of play i presume. Ah, they said, even if it had been given we would have won 3-1. Bollocks! They wouldnât have scored their first for a start. This is why teams like Liverpool, Man U, City etc win titles, weak refereeing. Saints 1-0 up would have been a completely different game, them chasing, who knows what could have happened? Maybe we could have scored on the break and gone 2-0 up. Who knows? Time for referees to be made to justify their decisions, just like managers and players after the game. Confront them with the footage, ask them why they didnât give it. But it appears they are untouchable. They are professionals, paid serious wages. These decisions always go in favour of the so called âbig clubsâ at home, every time. It is corrupt. I donât mean corrupt in the sense of money changing hands, i donât believe that happens at all, but corrupt in the sense that at places like Anfield, Old Trafford etc referees are so intimidated by the home crowd, the occasion, they are too weak, intimidated and unprofessional to do the right thing. There is no question that today we were robbed of a nailed on penalty which could have changed the whole course of the game. The referee should be confronted with the footage of the incident and made to justify his decision to deny what was a clear penalty to Southampton. And if he couldnât, then he should be relegated to refereeing games in the Northern Premier League for six months, earning Northern Premier League wages. That would soon put a stop to it.

Too right. Turns out Firmino, with his hat trick of assists, gets NO bonus points at all. Not one. His performance has been deemed not as crucial as Henderson or Allison. THREE ASSISTS!

Game of two halves, init.
Can have some complaint about the scoreline - it doesnât really reflect our effort on the pitch, but it does kind of reflect on why Liverpool will be champions. If you emerge 4-0 up from what was looking like a well contested game to begin with, youâre doing something right. Iâd suggest their second goal suggests what that is.
Roundly beaten by a freakishly good team, but like @saintbletch, I am proud of the performance weirdly enough, and you donât often say that when youâve had four goals put past you.

Anfield is a ground of tourists and cling on, I was the most scouse person in my vicinity yesterday, once Chamberlain scored I fucked off, couldnât stand to be near tourists ruining this game, I fucking hate big club fans, theyâre destroying the game.

me and my two mates up from Southampton strolled around Liverpool and even paid a visit to The Albert right outside The Kop unchallenged! Wisg we hadnât bothered no proper beer just crap Tetley ⌠awlful!! Also went in TIA Bar near ground after ⌠once again not a peep from the tourists!!
