You may come across as a little cross sometimes but you do hit the nail on the head pretty regularly Tokes.
Cheers gb. I find if you throw the hammer enough times, you will eventually hit the nail. If it misses and smashes someone in the handā¦Shrugā¦Lou and pap will grow new fingers. Thatās how it works right?
There is a case poor people follow religion because they have no other options of hope and rich people follow it for their conscience they can afford.
Hardly groundbreaking but there is relevance in that,
No one told me Toyko was Scottish! That puts a whole new perspective on things! I assumed you were some Home Counties twat with an annoying accent!
I might have to reevaluate.
Just some Weegie stretching copper.
PS. Iām hoping proper hard man whiskey drinking Glaswegian. Theyāre my favourites!
PPS. no offence to Home Counties twats intended.
Not sure that we have any on here, Lou. This isnāt a Man Utd forum.
The Scots are sound providing they arenāt rep Celtic fans continuously going about a Cup win from nigh on 50 years ago or how they hate England yet live here.
Yep but that article you posted contained a massively wrong assumption / statement as to what comfort people draw from religion, though I doubt that is at all relevant to whatever wider point it is you are trying to make.
He would fucking hate hipsters then.
Have I said anything there that is incorrect? Richer Countries donāt follow religion as much, it also states and I believe this that following religions could hold people back educational wise as they canāt do things as they are not allowed to, mixed sports and the like.
It was written by a leftist organisation and hardly one with a right wing agenda!
What shite did Mother Theresa give concerning poverty and being closer to God, dangerous talk and she probably has blood on her hands for it.
Hail hail Barry.
You should meet my wife.
Iād like to change my vote. Anyone who canāt speak English should be forced to leave.
Not very Christian.

As I said the assumption in that article was about what comfort it is that poor (or otherwise) people draw from religion, which I doubt is relevant to your point(s). As to your point above, I cant speak for other religions or countries, but as we have covered to death before christian and roman catholic schoools in this country usually achieve good or very good results. So no, religion does not hold people back educational wise, at least here.
