I would rather some of our midfielders or U21s play CB rather than Holgate and his huge wages frankly.
I don’t begrudge him his wages, that’s for the agents and club to negotiate, and he’s been putting in the effort on the pitch. But I don’t see this as any great loss. RM doesn’t seem to see him as a first choice and he hasn’t stood out as particularly impressive when he has played, tbh.
