And they’re now taking tea, having delayed the break for fifteen minutes as Hants were very close to winning. During that fifteen minutes, Middleton was out for 65, then Vince and Gubbins brought the scores level. At the end of that over the umpires took them off for tea. So we need one run to win, with eight wickets in hand and a day plus a session to play.
There must be some rule saying that the tea interval can’t be delayed for more than fifteen minutes, but taking the players off with the match as it stands is just mental.
