Bracey dropped first ball by Holland at 3rd slip, maybe would have been better for 2nd slip but might not have carried.

Bracey edges the 3rd ball straight to Brown, he doesn’t trouble the scorers.

Brilliant. Unless you are a Gloucs batter…

Ben Stokes enjoying himself at New Road Worcester, strolled out in the third over of the day, went to his ton from just 64 balls, at lunch he’s on 131 from 74 balls. Fourteen sixes, just missing out on six sixes in an over when he didn’t quite connect with the last one which went for a one bounce four. Spare a thought for 18 year old Josh Baker who was the unfortunate bowler.

STOKES OUT AT NEW ROAD

Stokes c Haynes b D’Oliveira 161 (Durham 580-5 v Worcestershire)

Worcestershire skipper Brett D’Oliveira finally gets his man.

New England captain Ben Stokes is gone, for 161.

What an innings though! A record breaker.

17 sixes. The most in an innings first-class cricket in England.

And off only 88 balls, having earlier taken just 64 to reach his ton, breaking Paul Collingwood’s county record for Durham - 75 balls against Somerset at Taunton in 2005.

A mere eight fours though. A bit disappointing that! But, judging by the reception he got from the appreciative New Road crowd, they’ll let it pass.

As BBC’s Hereford & Worcester’s Dan Wheeler put it, they knew they’d just witnessed something really special.
