I switched on the live stream on the TV and it wasn’t real time. Until 10 minutes ago I thought we needed 75 to win then I switch to my Laptop and we needed 11.

Left work and we needed 90 odd runs with 6 wickets down, to see the result when I got home was a pleasant surprise…

Brilliant 4 days and we won it despite some of the worst umpiring I’ve seen since I last played in the Hampshire League.
2nd ball of the match was so plum LBW Lyth looked embarrassed to be not out. Several other close ones, so you knew that as soon as we batted up would go the finger. Vince and Organ both sawn off and in trouble with the match ref although Hampshire made an official complaint after day 2.
Yesterday more shocking decisions, Inc. Lyth again from the same umpire, Burns, who must be his secret dad.
Today Burns missed an audible edge when Drakes had 3 so cost us probably 40 more runs. Then Kettleborough decided to get in on the act by screwing over Gubbins, before Burns did Vince again by pretending to hear an edge this time.
Thank God for Dawson who was magnificent until he gave us heart failure by getting out with 7 to get.
First home win against those Northern Racists since 2008.
