Living away from Southampton has severely limited the amount of games I can attend, meaning that I won’t even get a sniff of a ticket. Surely Milan would allow more fans in if we covered policing costs etc for them? Can’t see what the issue is from Milan’s side of things - if there’s a demand for tickets and there will be empty seats in the stadium doesn’t it make sense to meet that demand? Really frustrating.
Think Inter are shitting themselves. I remember in the draw, when we was picked out, their manager went white as a sheet, and their Chairman gripped his shoulder, and they just looked at each other and mouthed “Wow”. There’s no way they’re gonna give up home advantage by letting a European giant come in and flood their ground with away fans. No way at all.
Everyone who wants tickets for Milan id slightly more problamatic but If I was boofed up I’d be going regardless.
It’s not Inter that’s the problem, it’s the Italian police apparently, they put a block on the number of tickets that Inter could sell.

Taking it quite seriously by the looks of it. And, to be fair, Inter fans do not have the most welcoming reputation in the world, and the strain on them of potentially policing 10,000 plus pissed up Saints fans thinking that a Manuel Accent will get them into the stadium is pretty wise.
Still think the only hope for us Johnny Foreigner types will be Corporate. Looking less and less likely tbh.
I’ve cancelled my flight and hotel…
Cant blame you. SO5 and I were all lined up with flights but held off and think it will stay that way, barring something unusual.
Which will lead us to find a pub in central London for it instead.
Happy to catch up and do that.
Ditto

Let’s sort this then…me, you, Bucks, SO5. Lou Lou around?
Saints fans aren’t what they used to be, just fucking go and sort there, go on the piss and have a laugh Jesus wept.
If you phoned Vitesse last year they told you NO. Official Saints told you NO.
ID checks they said.
We registered & booked through their Web site. The only consequence? They “strongly” offered us half & half scarves when I went in the shop to collect 4 tickets in my name.
Not saying that Milan won’t enforce the mo entry policy, just that all the rules & no doubt Police mean that IF you ask them then they HAVE to say no for Compliance purposes.
On the day? Well, that is down to luck & whether you are sober enough to be allowed in under any normal circumstances!
I still bear the shame of handling those scarves btw…
It will NEVER leave me and will forever be a dark stain on the memory of such a great trip.
It’s more that when you’re self employed it becomes very expensive if you’re going to end up watching it in a bar.
If you can afford to go then you can afford to rock up in Milan and give it a go to get in the home end surely?
Not that it will be much help, but there is the start of the possibility that there is a way for non Away Travellers to get tickets…
(Allegedly)
Company buying a block of Corporate for the Home Games MAY be eligible for an equal block of Corporate at the Away Games. (As in they need to be vetted)
Which means you’d have to find someone to go to Shaved Beer with you…
Anyways just passing on what is an ongoing conversation.
Yes, but it’s the risk factor. I’d be happy to give it a go if I had a ticket and definitely could get in, but dropping £1400 to watch the game in a bar in Milan for 1 night is a bit excessive.
What’s that? £60 for flight, £140 for hotel and £1200 for the lost earnings?
I’m not going to break it down as I’ve made that mistake before…it’ll just cost too much to take that risk.
too late bro, I’ve already alerted HMRC
I only fly Club…thats the main reason.
Chertsey in full of shit post shocker, what a load of old bollocks, type it again you may believe it.
It’s Milan, not Singapore.
