Have to say it, I have been really impressed by how the team have been so unified, and importantly not afraid to say it like it is and criticise those who would try to undermine actions, or offer ‘excuses’ for the ‘minority’ - Sadly whilst we have folks in positions of power who seem happy to bury their heads in the sand about the impact even a ‘minority’ of racists can have on a society, it empowers the racists to keep going. Couple this with the anonymity of social media and the shameful reluctance of the hosting platforms to act, and you have the perfect environment in which these cowardly cunts can go about their hate filled agenda…

I do think that we are reaching a watershed with social media - the problems it is causing seems to out weigh the benefits. On top of the awful racist shite, that dickhead who invaded the pitch was doing it as a stunt to increase his instagram followers.

Some of it is great - the ability to keep in touch with friends overseas. Youtube has solved the “How the fuck do I do that” conundrums, but unfortunately it brings out and amplifies the worst of us, not the best.

It’s a pity the game was decided by penalties. Should have gone to a Super Over.

Or golden goal like the good old days !

Or even a silver goal

Yeah might have encouraged us to have a shot. :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Six years it was used at the Euros and World Cups

France 98 was the first tournament to use it and it was scrapped after Euro 2004 as teams got more defensive in extra time, too scared to concede a goal.
