I wonder how many dead minutes are played in a game these days. Once the lino thinks there’s an offside, the play carries on but it’s dead in the sense that the attacking side can’t score or be awarded a penalty. If they don’t, play carries on and we’re none the wiser as to the relevance, if any, of the last few minutes play.
