Yes, after the game we sat and thought about who man of the match would be and struggled so I suggested Lallana, even though he hadn’t made it to the end. There were a lot of decent performances, but none were great. You could say that’s a good sign… That we won whilst not being great. Id be surprised if Sterling starts the next game, he’s been the standout shittest player in both games and surely that can’t be disputed, even by Roy. Problem is, there’s not really a natural replacement for him (is there?)
Ashamed to say that that was the first time I’ve ever properly watched Rashford yesterday. He will be an exceptional player if he keeps this up. Well I suppose you could have Bertrand and Rose both on the left wing, I suspect that Bertrand is better going forward than Rose (and a better defender). They’d be able to cover each other if one is bombing forward.
Neither of them would lose the ball as much as Sterling I suspect.
