England V Sri Lanka

What the hell hppened there?

We were dead and buried and I fell asleep

Check the score and its a Draw ?

Why didn’t we win for less wickets lost ?

or is that being churlish?

Buttler, Woakes and Plunkett happened, that’s what. If you checked live betting odds ball by ball in the final two overs, it would have been a crazy ride. Felt like a win!

Don’t know why number of wickets did not count in this one, but they said that long before the end.

To be fair, if Willey hadn’t had been given out to a clear no-ball we might even have won it.

Was that because we did not have a review after Hale wasted it?

No, the umpires asked to check for the no-ball and the TV pictures seemed to suggest that the Sri Lankan’s foot was over the line (the line belongs to the umpires) but it wasn’t overly conclusive so they couldn’t call it a no-ball.

Thats a no ball in anybodys umpireing decisions robbed again,

Yeah, even the Sri Lankans seemed shocked that it wasn’t overturned…

Yep Shane Warne was seriously not impressed with that cop-out decision

I still cant believe we got anywhere near the Sri Lankan’s total being somewhat shite just before I fell asleep :lou_lol:

My Sri Lankan underling at work texted me at about 19:36 to ask if I was still watching with a few smileys in his email.

I texted back after THAT Plunkett six something along the lines of “WTFILN??”

I told him this morning that he should hold of his arrogance and gloating until the fat lady sings.
