Right, I’m off to Leicester… Better be all out by the time I get there!
Yyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy
67-5 (just as the BBC changed it back to 4 down).
67-6!!! I cannot get out the sodding door!!!
Six down. Sri Lanka is in, what is known as, deep shit.
Sri lanka 91-8 at close of play
if they had listened to me and declared at 350 we would already be halfway through the second innings
At 91-8 that team doesn’t seem fit for purpose.
I just managed to get tickets for tomorrow and Tuesday - looking forward to it.
Let’s hope the match is still going then!
101 - All out.
14 - 0
Sri Lanka trailing by 383.
58-1 at lunch.
156-3 a slightly better match of it!
223 - 5
Trailing by 174 runs.
309,- 5 close of play on the 3rd day.
Sri Lanka are trailing by 88 runs. Looks like we will have to bat again!
I’d take the draw.

Snatching a draw from the hands of a win. ‘The England way’.
A whole lot less life in this pitch than there was at Headingley. Sri Lanka made an absolute balls of their first innings, but have performed far better following on. That said, the only thing that can stop England winning this is the weather.
In fact, it’s hardly beyond the realms of possibility that the last five wickets could fall for fewer than 88 runs tomorrow morning. Not particularly likely, but an inspired spell from any of the England quick bowlers could easily make that happen.
Yes agreed, there will be cloud cover and heavy wind, so could be a bit of movement.
Did not finish them off quickly, but a pretty easy win overall.
Won by 9 wickets.
Also Cooke become the youngest player to score 10,000 test runs. I have a lot of respect for Cooke as he really went through the mill a couple of years ago, only up to less than a year ago.
After starting well, albeit slowly, England are approaching lunch on 71-3.
Hayles out to a misguided shot.
Compton out because he’s shite
Root out LBW to good bowling.
Vince in now with 5 minutes to lunch.
