🏏 :engerland: England in South Africa 2019-20 🇿🇦

269

They’re now 26-1 Broad getting Malan with one he should have left…

38-2

Cross seam from Broad, dabbed at by Hamza, pouched well by Stokes in the slips.

du Plessis gone

Anderson this time and a feather to Stokes in the slips.

40-3

van der Dussen living an extremely charmed life at the moment.

first scoring shot goes straight through where 3rd slip would have been
second shot is just wide of cover and a despairing dive to try and catch it
now given out LBW but overturned on review as he got a massive inside edge on to his pads…

Elgar playing decently

55-3

60-3 and that’s lunch…good truncated session for England IMHO.

Yep. That’s me. Sporting guru.
(& why I dont gamble)

Apart from you weren’t wrong…

S.A. 151-3

Elgar 83*
vd Dussen 51*, he’s ridden his luck and was ‘dismissed’ off of a no ball.

157-4

Elgar gone for 88, Bess’ maiden wicket

191-5 de Kock gone for a quick fire 20

c Anderson b Curran

200-6

vd Dussen gone

214-7 Pretorious gone, another good catch from Stokes in the slips.

Mins you Stokes had also shelled some hard chances…

215-8 at stumps

Good bowling from the England attack today. Rob Key said Bess has been outstanding.

Oh and some outstanding catching by Stokes

Is Curran a Saffer?

Not when he’s taking wickets and scoring runs.

So, just switched the cricket on to see England are 65-1 and lead by a Nelson.

So that means we had a first innings lead of 46 runs, so the Saffers were bowled out for 223, which means they only put 8 runs on their overnight score.

I’m impressed to be honest, never thought the England bowlers had it in them.

Oh and the England wicket this morning, Crawley out for 25 c de Kock b Rabada

How could you not comment on Jimmy getting a Fivefer?
Almost 250 lead 8 wickets in hand, what sorcery is this?

Because I was unaware of the fact.

Anyway Root 50 up…

And it’s 218/4 at stumps, Root having gone for 61 and Bess without scoring. So we’ll start again tomorrow with a lead of 264 and six wickets in hand. Let the stroke players go for quick runs, give Sibley time to reach his ton, then declare with a lead in excess of 400. Piece of piss, this cricket lark.
