Yeah, Bavuma was given out LBW and then sent it upstairs.
Third umpire reviews it for ages and ages. Eventually we watch to see if the ball hit the bat about a hundred times. Seemingly doesn’t touch the bat and Bavuma is given out.
SA lose their review - or so you would think.
Next ball, vd Dussen is given out LBW and, as he has no review, walks towards the boundary.
Then he’s told to stop.
Then, near the boundary, he makes the T symbol to review his dismissal.
England players surround the umpire asking WFT is going on as they have no reviews left.
We go to third umpire review and it is decided the vd Dussen is not out as the ball was missing the stumps.
vd Dussen heads back to continue his innings.
It transpired that during Bavuma’s review they couldn’t get Hotspot/Snicko (or whatever it is called) to work so the review was effectively not taken - hence they had a review remaining when vd Dussen was out.
Bring back VAR I say.
