Eng win toss will bat

Crawley survives 6 balls and then is out, England 4-1 from 4 overs.

85mph/137kph, angling in from a good, attacking length towards the top of the stumps then nipping away sharply and late off the seam. Crawley wasn’t sure whether to play or leave, and ended up dangling his bat in the channel, indecisively. A faint edge through to Da Silva. 121 in Crawley’s last innings but a duck today.

An hour in and England are 30-1 after 17 overs, very slow and steady

This from cricinfo :-

“Well well… Now, this is surprising! England have lost JUST one wicket in the first hour of play. The red ball reset seems to be working.”

Lunch, England are 47-1

Pedestrian, watchful, turgid stuff.

Are you still awake?
