Couldnāt agree more. There will surely be times when this approach fails, and when it does it will probably do so pretty spectacularly. But so far itās succeeded - spectacularly - four times out of four, this last being against one of the best bowling attacks in test cricket.
Itāll be interesting to see what happens when England bat first, as chasing down a total appears to be what they want to do (Stokes apparently told the team heād put India in if he won the toss, simply for that reason). Will other captains starting putting us in if they win the toss? If they do, itāll be another piece of long-standing cricketing wisdom knackered up a treat by Bazball.

The batting first could be an issue and thereāll have to be more discipline and it could put more pressure on the ageing Anderson and Broad but theyāre used to it, either way it goes itāll be more interesting that Broads dad and Tavere.
