The last line was the punchline, as in they just did telephone gambling and were told they lost without actually having seen where the ball landed. I can genuinely say I had no idea you thought I was taking part and would not have claimed the money on the sweepstake if I had won. In fact, I didn’t even read much of the first post to begin with and haven’t read any of it after my joke.
I could not give two fucks whether you believe me or not as I could not give two fucks about the forum anymore. I used to post on fiver web and saints forever before that for a bit of a laugh and 5 mins escapism from work. There were definitely some funny threads and that was achieved. However, Pap has made it clear this is more of a social club with a bit of backslapping thrown in afterwards. I can’t attend as I think I might hit pap and regret it or not hit pap and regret it.
I’d rather fund terrorism than give pap or similar a fiver. As a way of a compromise, how about… The winner nominates a decent charity, good cause, no directors on £100K+ and I will donate my fiver to that cause?
