Just think what it does for their record sales though!
“Nana” has gone.
this year does seem to have had a lot of famous deaths. She had a good innings.
No longer will Richard Adams Silflay the meadows of Watership Down. RIP
Gone at 96.
The German pigeon still the best bit of the film
watership down is a great book and the animated film is brilliant. Children will always enjoy these things, surely?
Just been announced - Carrie Fisher
Carrie Fisher as well, bloody hell this has been a bad year for celebrities and Aaron Ramsey hasn’t even scored a goal this season…
All these good people dying and yet Robbie Savage is still breathing.
There is no justice in this world.

FFS will this year ever end…
Yes, on Saturday.
This is true. Even if you are familiar with the film/story, it is well worth reading the book. A family Goat favourite.
My friend Emma, who a few of you have met, and some have known for years, made a comment on Facebook tonight about the other things we could be talking about.
She’s right. This forum has discussed refugees and warzones. Looking at all media the last couple of days, you’d be forgiven if non-Westerners got the impression that a pressing concern might be that George Michael will never play the Milton Keynes Bowl again.
Meanwhile, there is some poor cunt a couple of thousand miles away that can put the recognisable fragments of his home into a brekkie bowl. And we’ve got some part in that.
We look a bit trivial, all things considered.
Not sure there’s anything wrong in recognising the impact of people who’ve contributed to our culture and affected a lot of people positively over someone you’ve never heard of.
People die all the time, that’s sort of the point of life - but most people don’t really influence the world at all and hence their death isn’t covered by the media.
Inequality has always, and most likely, will always be present in the World and there’s not really anything anyone can do about it.
Even the left wing amongst us surely recognise that: “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others” etc…
Well Hurricane Nina only claimed 4 lives which is a miracle in itself.
A friends roof did disappear which not only means she has no roof over her head the contents are ruined due to the incessant rain.
I think it’s a bit harsh of her to consider the Death thread as trivial, and I don’t think it detracts from more serious threads.
Posting about Strictly, job interviews, or computer games - that’s trivial, but It’s a democracy, posters discuss what they want to.
And if you don’t expect the papers to give the death of a world superstar significant coverage during a time of year when nothing else is happening, you don’t understand the press.
Of course the media should give more attention to proper stories and less to celebrity tittle-tattle but this is a big story on a quiet news day - and personally I don’t think this forum has done any wrong on this score.
We haven’t started the
“who’s going to pop there clogs first in 2017 yet”
Probably won’t see this reported much
