I would just like to say that there have been countless opportunities to make puns out of recent deaths.
It took every fibre of my being not to post “what was the last thing Wilko Johnson said to his GP?”.

You mean when he went down to the doctor’s. I’m guessing he said “morning doctor, feel good?”
Perhaps he crashed in the Sombornes, and it was quicker to just bury him there than send him all the way back.

Tom Verlaine, a voice and guitar sound from my teens, has shuffled off this mortal coil.
Passed away from Cancer
Barrett Strong, co-writer of such massive songs as I heard it through the grapevine and Papa was a rollin’ stone, has died at the age of 81. He also co-wrote, and sang on, Motown’s first hit, Money (that’s what I want).
I can just see the next advert

Our foster dog passed away suddenly on Monday. We had her for most of the lockdown periods whilst her owner wasn’t able to look after her.
If you have a dog, especially a cocker spaniel or anything cocker, then check out Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia (IMHA). It’s a cunt!
Whether Miley had an underlying disease or it was primary, it took hold of her and she feel ill Sunday afternoon and her owner decided to let her go early Monday morning on the advice of the vet.
I’ve never had a dog in my life until Miley. I had no idea of the effect they can have on you. Wednesday was the best day of the week as we would go for big walk (if she wanted to) and a ball chuck then come back to our flat and just hang out together.
I’m going to miss her terribly and thought I was all cried out but apparently not as I type this.
RIP Little One x
Dogs. Bundles of unconditional love! Good vibes your way
Still miss our Cat who passed during lockdown
Boo! RIP Miley.
Hideous!
Our first dog, a cocker spaniel, died of the same thing nearly three years ago, just short of his eighth birthday. Apparently completely healthy one day, off his food the next though seemed OK otherwise, at an animal hospital by the end of that day and gone 36 hours later, in spite of a lot of treatment.
Really feel for you; losing a dog is always horrible but the suddenness makes it even worse.
So sorry to hear that @DellBoy. We lost our previous Cocker (see profile picture) in October 2018 at 13 1/2 through kidney failure and I cried like a kid. I’d never heard of IMHA and I’m not sure I want to look it up. Our Molly (also a Cocker) will be 4 years old on the 12th.
From what I’ve read it’s treatable if you recognise the symptoms early.
Yeah II did read up yesterday. Yellow gums are the classic indicator of anemia. Not peculiar to Cockers but small dog and cats too.
I met a friend this morning walking without his 11 year old Pointer. She passed away on Friday. He was in pieces…man hug was all I could offer.
Burt Bacharach has died - To be honest I was a little startled that he was still alive
94, not a bad innings.
