The wife of a recently deceased gentleman receives a phone call from the funeral director asking her to come in to discuss a rather delicate matter.
On arrival, she is ushered into there preparation room where her dead husband is lying naked awaiting embalmment
The FD, steps forward and says
''Forgive me for disturbing you madam, in your grief and it is with deep regret that I must now trouble you some more over a very delicate matter. As you can see, your husband died with an… er… erection and no doubt you will now he was quite a ‘large’ man. So much so that in his current state, we can not close the coffin lid. We therefore just ask you what you feel we should do? We can make a deeper coffin lid but that will add at least £1500 to the cost for a custom order at such a short lead time, and you were also hoping to have an open casket in the chapel of rest as I recall?
The widow, sighs and responds

So this is what is done. The husband is prepared and placed in an open casket for mourners to pay their last respects
On the his widow passes by she leans forward to kiss his forehead and notices a tear fall down his cheek. She is surprised but leans a little closers and whispers
