Aye, I posted a tune on the Listening to thread, but not on here as I didn’t think anyone would have heard of him. Should’ve thought of you.

This is sad, 65 is no age these days.

On the face of it, I see your point. But the Scots give dog years a run for their money.

All the obituaries have overlooked his greatest achievement. Namely that he got The Skates relegated (finished rock bottom) just as we won the Cup.

He was cruelly sacked at the end of the next season, after they had failed by only 1 point to get relegated again. They managed that a year later anyway.

Oh fuck no, another great of the reggae world gone. I always thought that of the three original Wailers, he had the sweetest voice. He also wrote some wonderful songs, such as…

The little old Lady 4 doors down passed away today.
Everyone knew her. Even when it was -18C she was outside clearing snow.
Lived alone walked to the village shop or went by bus when it rained. Lived alone. sharp as nails, 91.

Which is why I am sat alone trying to find anything other than football to watch as the house is full of neighbours all drinking to her memory.
RIP Little Old Lady.
She always waved at us when we drove past.

We lost a couple of old birds in our road last year

Alma who was 103 and Joyce, in her nineties, who was formidable and frankly quite terrifying

We all miss them

No,no,no,no, no, yes, Trevor Peacock has sadly passed away at 89.

I didn’t watch the Vicar of Dibley when it first aired but caught up with it on the reruns and enjoyed it, probably because it reminded of my time on our own village council. Trevor was the father of Daniel Peacock who used to be on our screens a lot in the 80’s I seem to recall. Several members of the cast have past away now, a sure sign of getting old!

Never watched Dibley.
But Are you being served was a classic
